Wot do u you all prefer, Live DJ's or Live PA's. I love going to see different djs cause you don't know what kinda set you'll get but in my own opinion when Ultrasonic step onto the stage, theres not a or hardcore act or DJ that comes close. They are the true masters of the core! What do you think? Narcotik

Pendulum give amazing live P.A's, better than anything R.B.C pulls out of their ass :p
DJs are wickid
P.A's are wickid
Cant complain, still wickid tunes beeing pumped out.

Altough PA's are people playing thier tunes live, I don't rate them as highly as DJing. At the end of the day anyone can have a computer sequence a piece of music for them. However, being able to beatmatch and mix records in time is a whole different kettle of fish.

If it's a geniune PA then yeah, but I've no doubts alot of PA's are just computer programs making the music, and guys just standing there pressing meaningless buttons.

If it in the HHC scene a PA is well better to see
IMO hardcore djs aint got that much skill, most just beat match and i honestly believe i could teach my dog to beat match.
But if your watching a proper dj ripping it up it is mesmorising
check this out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO9tOL8hcxs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctgptSSGOHM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j65l7XqWwLE Now that skill!! Also check this out version 1.8 is about to hit (free d/l) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pib5wN0UH2c If a dj can do that sh*t i much prefer to watch that, but if its a standard beat match only dj give me a PA anytime

PAs IMO if they're done properly. I've seen all the miming/singing over pre-recorded backing tracks, and they are boring. However, if its played live, there and then (even if its the component parts sequenced) then something magical can happen with a good artist.
The flexibility is there to play the crowd in a way that a DJ can't. They choose exactly when to drop the breakdown, when to bring it all back in etc etc. If the artist can read the crowd well then the PA wins!

DJs! I'm all about the vinyl!, I've only heard a couple live PA sets, and those we're because the kids wanted to play their own stuff, No real entertainment to me..., I wanna see the Records that I know, not some weak remixes...! Also, I know TTs so I don't know what the hell the kids up there are doing!

With PA's the music stop and starts per track (I Think)
To say Hardcore DJS havent got much skill and only beat match is a little un fair in my opinion.

PAs don't have to stop and start. Sure, some do, but the really good ones just flow everything through.
Nobody said DJs don't have much skill
