Yep, Bonkers XI CD1 is brilliant!! As for CD2 though... well, Sounds Legit is pretty much the only track I've gotten into.

The first 2 bonkers cd's. To be honest with you, the way I see it, Hixxy and Sharkey should have mixed them better. They sound like they were thrown together just to sell rather than actually listening to them before they packaged it for sale.
Also,
Happy 2b Hardcore 1 through whatever number they finally ended at.
The mixing is soooo shitty. Full on trainwrecks on commercial release? Please.

are you kidding? hes a legend
If he were such a legend wouldn't his mixes be better? Legendary Hall of fame status Dj's should execute the finest mixes and live performances in my opinion, otherwise they are just playing off of their fame.
They should in my opinion have the cleanest mixes over anyone.

It's easy to slag. See, here in America hardcore isn't mainstream and sold in commercial record stores like HMV or the likes, so when you finally are able to get your hands on them, one would hold them to a higher standard.
I'm what would be called a Hardcore Purist, and I believe that it takes a little bit more than good track selection to make a cd. So if the mixing is bumpy or straight up crap, then I am disappointed because I expect more from such talent. I refuse to call a cd mint simply because it was mixed by a big name dj even if said cd was full of crappy mixing.
I will slag any commercial release if it is poorly mixed no matter who it's by. It's improper merchandising and goes further to give hardcore a poor name. It's bad enough that most people don't take it seriously but to add a poorly mixed cd to boot that may be the one example that someone would use to judge an entire genre? That spells disaster.
I expect more from Major Talent.
It isn't unreal for me to be that way.
