Also,
Happy 2b Hardcore 1 through whatever number they finally ended at.
The mixing is soooo shitty. Full on trainwrecks on commercial release? Please.
That's because my mother mixes better than Anabolic Frolic. He's a fraud and a terrible DJ (but an amazing promoter).
Kathryn: myspace is hardly a good judge of how good a DJ is
I bet his following is a punch of pilled up r-E-tards praising his wonderful set at event ****. It doesn't mean he's any good - I've seen idiots like that tell me how wonderful Frolic is too.
His productions are trash, his compilation mixes are trash therefore he is a terrible DJ.
Much like Frolic.
@ dainja - i really really think chris wasnt meant for music, i mean.. he trainwrecked in a commercial release.. how retarded is that??! is it that hard to mix a ****ingtrack into another?!?!? everyone has dirt on this guy, he is a disgrace.

What about in between? And I thought you liked Bonkers 1 & 2? They were from 1996 and 1997! And what about all the 'Old Skool' compilations?
If I dislike a CD I wont buy it when the next one comes out! I dont bother with Upfront Hardcore compliations although will make an exception for Bonkers due to the variety and Hardcore Heaven!

I don't care that much for Bonkers either, tbh. The cds I listen to regularly are: Bonkers 3 CD2, Bonkers X CD1, Bonkers XI CD1, Bonkers 15 CD1, CD2, CD4 and occasionally Bonkers 16 CD2. Then I only like a few songs from random Bonkers.
So I don't really get the hype with Bonkers. :p Maybe it's cause I only got into hardcore 1,5 years ago.

You think that's bad, he was caught DJ synching (playing a pre-recorded CD) on MULTIPLE occasions. He's terrible.
I got h2bh chapter 8 (the "unreleased one") at the last Hullaballoo and it was so badly mixed I was ashamed for him. No major wrecks but small ones and terrible EQing/switches.
He got signed to moonshine by sending them a FAKE magazine article about himself. He never deserved to mix any compilations and it saddens me that he has the biggest record collection in Canada.

I got into Hardcore when "Happy2bHardcore ch.6" was coming out (though Happy2bHardcore ch.4 was my 1st cd). Frolic...I dont know what to say....He picked out great tracks, but they sounded so dragged, and the mixing sounded forced (if that makes sense). I think Hixxy's mix off Bonkers 1 was perfectly mixed...how many cd mixes today are done off 3 decks? BobbyRetalian is right though, it is hard to find any Euro-based Hardcore music here in America. The biggest cds were the "Happy2bHardcore" cds. Any underground-style is hard to come by! Wal-Mart has those crappy "Dance Party"/"Trance Party"/"Dance Anthems"/"Trance Anthems" cds, while malls carry mainly clubby Trance/House.

I don't really know about bad as far as tune selection goes (I tend to avoid most albums like Clubland Extreme Hardcore and Hardcore Adrenaline), but the Happy 2b Hardcore mixes are a ****ing disgrace. I can mix circles around Frolic, and I suck.

I got into hardcore before bonkers, happy2bhardcore, clubland extreme, on and on and on and on lol
I prefer to listen to dj demos as they seem far more passionate in my opinion.
