I was browsing the internet and stumbled across an album called hard energy on ministry of sound.. i looked through the tracks quickly to see if i could find a song i liked and possibly buy it and then...
a name i recognised appeared... Slipmatt - "Space 2007" (original mix)
i listened to the sample hoping it might be up to the standard that slipmatt normally is..
and found it to be a scouse house song!
this has made me wonder.. how long has he been doing this? how many other "hardcore" artists are doing this?
and i expected slipmatt to be stuck to the core really...
correct me if im wrong anyway..

as far as im aware slipmatt dabbles in all different styles of dance, him and bunter class most styles of dance as "rave"

It wasn't scouse house - it was a house tune but hey who cares. It got a lot of airtime on Radio 1.

you wanna make more money, cover more bases/genres. i would assume that struggling artist may want to cash in on this time old trick. just a thought.

you can't be serious...
god forbid the guy enjoys more than one genre...
christ, he's a ****ing producer and he's done enough for hardcore that he could never touch the genre and he'd still have done more than 99% of the people out there. why does everyone have to be branded a heretic for not staying 100% focused on hardcore? he has a life to maintain.. money to make...

The original Space came out in 2002! It is on the Ultimate Hard House CD! Not very commercial though as it has no vocals...

haha if you look theres actually a few of us all making it, even on that album
me, GBTinc, Bunter, Sparky, Sytronik, Angel Eyes, Hypasonic (Squad-E) etc
think singling matt out on thats a bit harsh.. whats wrong with doing another type of music?
think youd be suprised at how many diff types of music the hardcore guys all do,
even just me ive done & released, Hardcore, Hardstyle, Breaks, Rave Breaks, Scouse, Clubby Stuff, D&B etc
all about a bit of variation :P
