Also, what's wrong about it? If you dont like it, thats fine, but who are you to go around saying "its wrong"? You know that candy has been a staple of the American scene, it's what sets us apart from other scenes. Isnt the point of the rave scene to accept others and NOT judge. If you are not going to dress up, then you might as well hit the clubs.
i just dont understand it tbh.... ott kandi is a bit too much for me.... if someone can seriously go to a rave enjoy music and have a stomp with a million kandi beads wrapped around their arms, legs, neck, head and just about every other part of their body i take my cap off to them.... i just dont understand how it can be comfortable to begin with... yeah blah blah PLUR and all that shit accept everyone and blah blah... i had respect for people and didnt judge people before i went to a rave its not like raving has changed me in that sense....
you cant just put everyone in the "they go to raves they must be really nice and love everything" basket.... sometimes you might meet someone at a rave and you think they are awesome and then they turn out to be a ****.... to me raving is more about music and meeting people than to be seen wearing beads all the way from my head to my toes but thats just me.... i dont care if other ppl kandi, i just think sometimes (most times) its way ott and i dont understand it because when i go to raves i make sure im wearing the most comfiest things and that to me looks like the most uncomfortable thing to wear to a rave ever....

Bit of a contradiction that, dont judge my kandi but if you wear normal gear you dont belong here.
I cant be f*cked with all that dressing up caper but i regularly go ravin with a mate called matt who wouldnt look out of place on skins or the mighty boosh . Also some guy who dresses as a full jester but thats just strange
I'm not anti people wearing whatever they want to go out, jus think the whole cyber/kandi thing looks tacky and shit, i prefer just wearing normal gear.

"to appear in a particular place or engage in a particular activity / the context and environment in which something is set"
if you go to a parties on even a semi-regular basis, i'd say that constitutes as being part of a "scene"
you can lie to yourself all you want.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say in that post.
But seriously, ive met some cool people who were smothered in kandi... ive met some douches as well but the point is i dont hate someone because they're basically made of kandi... it seems a lot of people here wouldnt even give someone a chance who was.... and i think thats wrong
