Without hardcore I would listen/produce any other electronic music like trance, or I would play the keyboard a lot in a synth-pop band. Without electronic music I would be a drummer or a bass player in a punk/rock band.

As far as life without hardcore, I think it would be a lot more stressful. I would definitely smoke more and probably be angrier. Everytime I listen to hardcore it seems to calm me down.
As far as raving goes, I gave it up 7 years ago. I do miss it because I had so much fun hangin out with that group. Everytime I listen to any type of electronic music I instantly have my raving memories brought back to my mind. It gets kind of depressing. But I know that if I didn't give it up I would not be able to make something of myself. And I was big on the drugs I might've ended up dead of overdose like a couple people I knew. Still I do miss the whole scene.

would have more money
would have gotten less jaded looks when I told people what I listened to/spun
other than that...I don't know what I would have listened to playing doom throughout most of the early 90s on dialup =P

i had probably the worst day ive ever had at work today all i wanted to do was walk out and never come back but i went to my car at my break, put scott brown and neophyte's cd, off bonkers 15, on, turned it up full blast and 15 minutes later everything seemed better. hardcore can calm me down, can make me happy or excited, it can evoke a load of emotions in me like nothing else can. my life without hardcore would be shite, it probably wouldnt be unbearable, but it wouldnt be half as enjoyable.
