Just wondering out of 10 & without being big headed, how would you rate your mixing skills?
I would personally give myself an 8.

I'd rather produce than mix, but i guess with a little practice I could aim a 5 or something lol

I would give myself 3 as only been mixing for a few months but try out new things! I have a new mix in the works but it is early stages at them moment! I wouldn't be able to mix live, just practice at home & upload them online! Wish me luck!

i dunno what rating i would give myself. i'm good sometimes, but then others i f*ck up really bad. i guess my problem at the moment is consistency. but ay all DJs have their bad moments, mine just happen to be more often lol.

Alright, do you mean like your beatmatching, or just everything about how you DJ?
I dont really think anyone is perfect, but Ill give myself an 8 to a 9. Im pretty confident in the way I do things, but I always end up having something to complain about in any of my mixes lol.
Beatmatching is one thing...picking the right tunes for your mix is a completely different story.
Just gotta be confident bout what your doing =]

had decks when i was 16 but was too busy going out/into girls etc to take them seriously :)
i use software and controllers now and only started recently so im not great lol its all good :)
i will post a mix online soo with a couple of new tracks im working on if that interests anyone at all ???

Yea, Im 16 now and there really isnt much do to where Im at, so this is what takes up my day most of the time lol. Im DJing right now as a matter of fact, rocking some Essential Platinum tunes lol.

my advice is stick with it :)
ive messed about for years im 22 now and only starting to really get stuck in and do some proper work.....should have done it sooner.

Depends. If I have a waveform display, I think I'm a 7 or 8, but when I have to beatmatch with my ears, I'm a 2 on a really good day.

I'd say about a 5 can beatmatch, mix up diff styles and do a set with more imagination than the average.
Cant scratch, beat juggle or any of that madness though, jus not dedicated enough with putting hours in.

iv been on the dex for 11 years but dont really practice enough.
love listening to tunes but need to be in the right mood to stand around & count beats in my head.
will post a mix up here sometime & let you lot decide
