Being from the states I can attest to how lazy a lot of Americans are with accepting other cultures; they're kinda stuck in their ways. There's a guy where I stay at that has an unusual name (Bassam, (bah-som)) and I've lived with him for like six months and people living with me still call him "Bah-seem". It drives me NUTS.
I want to move to the UK because I'm learning to produce and they don't call it US hardcore, do they. Most people hear don't even know what it is, and if they hear it, they just call it techno.
But besides that, we love you guys, and like one of the guys said, we all love hardcore, so that should be the main thing.
The only thing - I do hate to break it to you, but we love your women too. We just find the accents sexy. No disrespect tho mates.

to be fair here - do you really think it was the national anthem that got them rattled
or was it more like the fact that it was an english wrestler V american wrestler
in which case your getting annoyed about the same sort of thing a football team fans BOOing other football team fans at games....
i think its fair to say in general the british do not hate americans at all - the media like to pull it off that way, but if you get a brit on their own and ask them do you HATE americans
they'll more than likely say "no, thats stupid, why would I hate an entire nation just because of politics/idiots we see on tv"
it might be all well and fun to joke with mates about it, just like back in the states, it was all well and fun to make fun of my accent and say dont brits have bad teeth?!?! to me
but i think *or would at least like to think* people here are more logical thinking than that
and dont just sheep to what the media say....
if they dont say that - then put simply they are morons.
you can write off 303,824,640+ people, just because....
apart from the french...you can hate the french as a nation ;)
**edit*** surprisingly enough, i gave my office the chance to joke about americans and say what they thought, and none of them (theres 16 of us in total) took the bate, they're all in-different "people are people" seem to be the general opion, some nice, and some shit
lastly - if you were taking a cross section of any nation.....
....i wouldnt take that selection from a wrestling match.

And you definetely can't beat Street Fighter. I've tried all versions of Tekken, but meh.. Just not as cool as shooting blue balls in SF.

America does get a bit of unfair unpopularity here at times. It has to be said that most of it stems from it's politics though, many of the more left-leaning here seem to despise American politics, probably as they deem them far-right.
I love America personally, I've been to Florida several times in my life, and I'm going again this summer. If things go well for me in life, I'd love to retire to America and see my life out.

Honestly, I always thought it was the other way around.
I don't have any prejudices against the british, but people i know do make fun of their teeth and accent. i dont think its hatred though. hate is a pretty severe word.

yea british teeth are nasty. i'm sure there are ppl who keep them clean and maintained, but man even some actors (the douche from all the harry potter movies) man his teeth are repulsive! yea i constantly see our late-night comedians making fun of them, but it sux when ppl go on air and show of those pretty stained up mess in their mouth. but then again we are no better
we have ppl with grills and that is such low class to me it's 1 of the embarrassment of america. it's ppl like that who have grills that make the US look like we're a country who is a zoo, where ppl just look at us and are entertained by our unusual appearance.
