I stumbled across an old topic on HHC.com, i'm sure it said it was from 2001-2002 & the topic was all about how Seduction had f**ked off to Japan about that time & was stealing all royalties from other peoples tracks on compilations he was only releasing in Japan. Can anyone shed a bit of light on this for me. I never knew that this was the case. They were also saying something about Seduction fighting with Sharkey @ an event gone by. This is too good to miss out on. Please sumone shed sum light!

Can't get get past that mate, you would have thought someone as talented & clued up as Seduction wouldn't have done something like this, it's really weird. I'm guessing things are sorted out now or does he still have enemies in the scene because of this.
Don't ask how I stumbled across a post from 2001 lol but it's great to look back at posts gone by & see what was getting posted. Also I never seen anyone that's around now on those old posts. I wonder what's happened to them all?

Donno about that case, but when Fade left, in his last message he said: "Be Careful - It has surprised me actually how many so called 'big players' would sell their grandma to make some money, never mind pissing on you whilst you line their pockets. Don't trust what many people tell you. There are many 100 % genuine major DJ's past and present (you know who you are) that I still have 100% respect for after all this time, there are also some very untrustworthy ones that I have lost every ounce of respect for."
(you can read the whole thing on the news page)

That's the honest-to-god truth! Music business is cut-throat to the core.

Cheers Whispering, i'll check that out mate. Yeah, I suppose there is a lot of sneaky c**ts out there that will try anything to get sum money. I mean, it could have been a big misunderstanding mabey he had it in mind to pay royalties but didn't get round to it but it's still no excuse to put some other guy's hard work onto your compilation & not even tell or ask him about it but I think Seduction seen a great market out in Japan before it was really big out there & thought he'd get away with selling his CD's there becuase he was so far a way.
He must have sorted things out now & payed the money back or something because i've got one of his nu vinyls & he's colaborating with Joey Riot - Turn up the Bassline & Rock this Party & they are really good tracks. I wonder if theres anyone who can give us definitive proof of what he done & why he done it. It's a real shame:-( He's such a legend that I wouldn't let it bother me because what ever happened i'm sure it's all been sorted out now & he will have learned from his mistake.

I just read the whole thing there & that makes me really sad:-( It seems like he left because of these sneaky b**tards that are ruining the scene. I neve realised that it was so savage so I think i'll be looking out for number one from now on! Once I get my studio equipment together i'm going to remix a few of his old classics & get them known again because he really was a legend. Obviously i'll contact him if I can & let him hear them first lol. It's just such a shame to see a legend like him ending on such a bad note.

That's pretty irrelevant since Joey Riot was a nobody back then.

Its like pretty much any business these days - as Fade pointed out, there are some absolutely blinding people working in the scene, people who I have a lot of time for, and then there are those that would quite happily stab you in the back and crawl over your dead body in order to make a buck.
Its nothing special to Hardcore, or even the music biz in general, although the music scene does seem to attract the extremes of each of those groups.
