Correct, its a pro-audio sound card

Adding this to your basket would sort that out: http://www.solotechnic.co.uk/we11123b-adaptor-35mm-stereo-socket-to-35mm-stereo-socket-i21539.html Failing that, use one of these: http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/1371 What you want is 2 rca plugs to 1 stereo 3.5mm socket

That double connection has banana jacks, no connections on either the sound card or speaker system uses those :P

Blarghdfsjskdgsd. Where can I find a 2 rca plugs to 1 stereo 3.5mm socket at an american store? I've searched several now (still searching) and can't find it. Is this one of those UK exclusive things??

They only had one that was all male connectors (for all three connections). I asked them about one with a 3.5mm female socket and they looked at me funny. Idiots...

www.maplin.co.uk
Plenty of stores like it in the UK, and because the item you want is so small postage is not an issue.
As for your comment regarding what i said being too many connecters and you would loose quality; there is no way you personally would notice any loss in quality.

Why are you connecting your headphones to spdif? spdif = digital, headphones = analogue. Unless you have a d/a converter in the middle all you will hear is noise.
Try the same thing on one of your analogue channels on the other breakout.
You won't get any fried machinery with connecting it that way throught he analogue channels (unsure if you connect it to digital), but similarly I'm not sure if you will get very loud sound. Sorry, I was thinking you meant this connection for your speakers.
As a thought, could you not connect the sound card to your hi-fi or your mixer if you have one? You could use the headphone out on that then.

I thought you said they were phono?!?

How the hell would I hook my speakers up to that kind of adapter any way?? What I'm confused about it, the headphones have a 3.5mm connector - the adapter is a 3.5mm Stereo Mini Jack to 2 RCA Plugs. The manual listed the red and white connectors on the digital breakout as S/PDIF / RCA FOR DIGITAL DEVICES *slaps self* Also, the manual details how to fix loud sound if it occurs.

I don't have either of those.

Yeah, the analogue i/o on the other breakout are phono - at least on my 1010LT they are.

I gather from the cross out you have seen that the red/white on that breakout are rca connections for digital devices and the red/white on the other breakout are rca for analogue devices (such as mixers, amps and possibly headphones!:-) ). You will more likely get quiet sound rather than loud sound btw, but boosting the level (in the control panel) may solve this. I don't know, I've never tried it.
I'm in the middle of a house move, but at some stage I'll try and get some photos to show you what I mean if you are still stuck. It may be a while though.
