Free of charge? No. Unless the producer is feeling generous and wants to give something away.
Why is it so many people seem to think music isn't worth paying for these days. :-/

Personally, i dont mind payin 4 my music if i like it.
with the filesharin culture more and more is goin 2 be dished out free anyway.
most singers imo cant sing live, thats what they should concentrate on and use as the bread winner and use cd albums/singles as an advertisin freebie

So they should concentrate mainly on singing live even though they can't sing very well and need a producer to correct their vocals? Hmmm.
What about people who don't like/want to perform too? Where do they get money from if they're just giving their music away?
Not trying to be bitchy. Just don't agree with ya. ;)

A lot of it isn't imo, but i don't think many people think "if it isn't worth paying for, it isn't worth listening to" and get it anyway.
In answer to the question; same as stated by bulby, no, unless the producer wants to give away a freebie, which are always welcome. There's a lot of pop music out there that, plain and simple, does not deserve people's hard earned cash being thrown at it, but if people are idiots and listen to tripe they should pay the butcher.

Music should not be free, no way. The time and effort that goes into making music should be rewarded financially, in the same way that you are rewarded financially by going to work.
Music should only be free if the producers decides 'hey wanna give this track to people, cause im just that nice!'

I dunno sometimes its nice to get free music.
Not because its not its not worth anything, just because its a nice gift.
In an ideal world, I'd give away my tunes and live off touring. But its not an ideal world and I have stupidly high rent to pay in the UK so I need to send the tunes to labels and collect money so I can scrape a living by.
Having said that, I reckon its about time that I spread some love out this way and thus announce the creation of Futurenoize. Its a free label project with releases from myself and Inverse along with a few others, dedicated to spreading the hardcore love for free.
The first two releases are up, check them at: http://futurenoize.com/releases/

Psht, all art should be free, period. Audio, and visual. No one should make a living from it. That way you don't have to worry about people making music for the wrong reasons, ie money.
