Yeah, most 96 - 97 stuff sounds fresh but the new stuff sounds very uninspiring. Oh,and I hate Trance.

i reckon hardcore is repeating the past
2002 is 1994 when hardcore was just going
and in a couple of years it will be like 96
when quality tunes were being produced every second.
i reckon the new stuff will get better and better as time goes on and they learn what we like the most.

take a look around all the people getting down.
hardcore id the sound and were underground.
were underground.

Even if it isn't Trance, it's still dull. I have yet to hear anything I like made after 2000....

Like SuperHenke said, there is some very good tunes being produced at the moment,
KFA #6 - Crult - Come Down, ATM #1 - Stompy (forgot the name lol) for example.

I don't know how you can say that, the old stuff is the proper HHC, i love the new stuff but it's not all 100% HHC if you know what i mean, alot of stuff has Trancy elements to it or is half Freeform or whatever. The stuff from 94 - 1999 is 100% HHC. But like i said before, there is some really good HHC being produced now, especially on KFA and Masterwax.

for home listening i'd rather the oldskool HHC cos it fun and catchy... it gets u in a good mood.. the newer stuff is more and popular at raves but its still good...but when an oldskool track comes up at a rave like 'children of the nite'
the ravers go wild

'what goes up must come down'

so keep popin!!

If Happy Hardcore ever died it would have been in 2000, not '98 - there's still happy stuff from '99.

So you're telling me that tracks like "DJ Ham - Is Anybody Out There" is cheesey, limp, and badly produced with awful vocals? Some is slightly cheesey, although surely that is better than being mind-numbingly monotonous like the new stuff.

Happy Hardcore of old was much bouncier & though the modern stuff is better produced it sounds TOO crisp & perfect & takes away the life & soul of the music a bit, not completely, but a bit.

Hardcore family never dies.

U'll never beat the stuff up2 98 when it was all original and pretty new, with the new stuff we're searching thru other genres for ideas to keep the hardcore sounding fresh. I thinkin 96 when it just relied on its own originallity it was teh best even if it was "badly produced". The new stuff is good but like 92-2002 theres always gonna b sum tripe being produced whatever teh year whatever teh genre. i wud agree tho teh production standard is much better but that dnt make em better tracks.
