Totally true. Terrible DJ and a he definitely twists the truth. However, he's an AMAZING business man/promoter.

Hulla is alot of fun. I didn't find the sound that great at the Opera house though. The DJs that played were pretty bad anyways (Frolic, etc.).

never been to 1 but i have a couple of their mixes. they sounded decent, what i would have expected from a live show. as far as his con artisting, i would really like to know what in particular you are talking about.

I have only had a good experience with him. I bought the last cd set of his All Good things and it never came in the mail. I emailed the problem and got no response. A year (maybe even 2) I went and bought the H2BH CH8 album (yea i know shame on me didn't know bout the licensing thing) but mentioned to him about the problem I had w/ the Hulla store. well he actually gave me a copy of it that came in DVD format, along w/ the 2nd to last one for my troubles. so good experiences.

but it's different for everyone. i just think it's disappointing that i hear all this bad stuff from a guy that I once thought was 1 of the greatest things that has happened in happy hardcore. especially since he is responsible for my discovery of it. and also catching the interests to many ppl in the US since he was really the only connection of Hardcore I was ever getting in North America for quite some time.

Hujib did a banging remix of the tune called Obession Dusk Till Dawn release which came out in 2007.

I wasn't quite experienced enough back then to tell you guys if the dj's were technically performant @ Hullabaloo, but I can assure you the parties there were something special. I mean walking into the Opera House, having the Hulla Crew put whistle around your neck with a huge smile and wish you Happy Hullabaloo, and then spending the night exchanging kandy totally high on mdma, the plur was flowing.

I was @ Hullabaloo - Funtopia 7, Hullabaloo - Back & Forth and Hullabaloo - All Good Things, and they're all memorable parties to me!

It's a north-american tradition in rave parties, most importantly Happy Hardcore parties, back in the late 90's and early 00's. People make kiddy-like bracelets and necklaces, wear them all over their arms and necks, and exchange them to one another. It's a way to express happiness (natural or chemical) and unity amongst the raver community.

Unfortunately, the tradition has slowly died and I haven't seen it since 2006.
