TBH, i haven't had anywhere near the kind of buzz i got since march 2004 @ The sanctuary, listening to Remixes of Praga Khahn in the OldSkool Room.
Freeform HArdcore just doesn't make me smile like stuf before 2000, Freeform is not as fun to just listen to, like OLDSKOOL hardcore.
I will give you A BIG EXAMPLE
I find myself, listening to 4 Clubland Extreme albums, in hmv on the Listening Posts, sighing, going home, then slapping on my "Digital State" Album by Abbot And Chambers.
Selecting the track, NEVER AFTER, and i feel like the song is almost having sex with me in my living room.
^^Modern "Trancey" hardcore just doesn't give me the same buzz.
Other great trance tracks that give me the same sensations.
"Not A Lot Left"
"What COuld have been"
"Memorable Touch (Carl B Remix).
Ronny K "Orchidea"
Are all as delicious coming through my ears personally as SLush & Puppies "Lovin' You"
I think the next rave i need to go to will have to be a Trance one, with some unheard of DJ, i've never been to a trance rave.
"Never After" is as good as any OldSkool track IMHO
Happy Hardcore died in 1998, then had its corpse beaten in 2000, and TBH has had DJ's trying to get more life out of its cremated ashes for the last 8 years.
Its really sad, but i'm thinking of not coming back to hardcore raves again, never after(see what i did there)....going to a trance one.

Well, what i'm saying is happy hardcore died in 2000.
What we have now is a mix of HardStyle, Freefrom Hardcore.....and sped-up Hard House/trance/trancey-hybrid-tribal-OMFG-i-am-so-F****-confused now.......... **WITTY COUGH**.......which is passed of as the new Hardcore.
I DUNNO.
..........or am i thinking of Folk Rock.......I just don't know anymore...........I feel OLD.....erm
Incidentally, what confuses the crap out of me is that the then Hardhouse is basically the now Hard trance
And i i have no idea where to find decent.....what I WOULD CALL hardhouse.
DJFG The Voyage, thats what i call Hard House, also Incidentaly Hard House Used to sound Alot more like tribal House.

What kind of bounce is joey riot trying to add Hardcore.
DJ SY, in 1994, Keep Joompen, ya Basteds, when hardcore was cooler,(No Disrespect to todays tunes!!!) and i was 10, bounce....
OR
Gabba tunes from 2001 Bounce???

if you consider Joey Riot's stuff for Trance, you really need to listen to the samples more

luna-c is another example of a great dj trying to bring more old skool and jungle back into the playing field. by god he does it well too.
