If you only listen to the CDs that come out you might be trapped in a certain style of hardcore, I would check out the radio on this site, anything by ORbit1, Joey riot, CLSM, Darwin, Kurt for a bit of variety in hardcore. Also check our hardcore addiction and hardcore nation as they often more across the board hardcore.

Its not hard to notice differences between "Go Mental"- "Oceans Apart" (1995 i think), and HNK's "I kissed a Girl"(2008)

I don't know how you could say HNK's "I kissed a Girl" sounds a bit OldSkool.

Break-down of typical oldskool track:

--Bee, bee....bee-boop---<--{LOOP 15 times }-{OUTRIGHT PlagerisedSample}-{breakbeat}{pianostabs+4/4beat}{more "bee-bee...bee-boop}{then a OOOHHHAAAAAYEAAAH girls voice}{ect ect ect}

no trance synths anywhere.

Oh Blimey here we go again, I am with Silver.

Ibiza got big House used its sound naturally that crossed over to hardcore, just like bouncy techno. Everyone said is breakbeat dead???

no.

Hardcore will squeeze the life out of the sound then move onto something else. Perhaps cheese again, break beat or even something new.

Freeform is freeform..its cool.

UK Hardcore is UK Hardcore..its trancey like Trancecore but modern..its cool.

Happy Hardcore...was Old skool, Nu skool, Bonkers, Bouncy Techno.

Its all Dance..it started all with Rave. Will Mixmag declare Hardcore dead again. I doupt even they are that stupid. Either people will get bored and change the styles or people will want retro sounds and the music will change again.

Personal I love Hybrid music, magpie music, cross overs of abny kind are good. On occasion, a sound dominants for a bit to long much like R an B in the charts now. Once it is ignored it will be ignored for a long time. However at some stage it will return. at nearly 35, I think I can promise you that.

Perhaps for a while, your style has gone quiet. Its happened to me several times. It is not nor ever will be dead.

Punk dead? no.

Ska dead? no.

Metal ( er Guns and Roses ) no.

Indie? no.

No one can kill music. It can't die.

By the time i was over 18 and could get into clubs in 2002 trancey-crapcore had already had its dominant grasp.
I feel sorry for PinkDevil/Sarah she's only 14 now, she has to put up with all this 21st BS made by hardcore n00b5.

I think "The Prodigy" ....... .........

YES i said "THE PRODIGY" should release another rave track.
