You clearly are a fool. No one has a hard time? Maybe not in the cosy middle class life you have lead, but there are plenty of people who dont have "everything" and do have a very hard time! Nothing against you personally Smoogie but you dont have a clue. Maybe you should just stop posting in this topic all together mate, its not going well for you at all.

Its like I always say though... There are starving children in Africa who would give anything to have the freedom we have here in the UK! All I hear about in this country is how hard people have it but don't realise how easy their life is!

Im havn't had an easy life either & I wouldn't say im 'Middle Class' as such either!

Smoogie, look up 'Road' by Jim Cartwright on Youtube. You'll get some videos of the play, based in Thatcher's Lancashire, 1987. We'll see how 'easy' life is in Britain

I will have a look at it some time but Lancs is only one out of many counties in England! Salford Quays being one of the greats of the 80s redevelopments as well as office booms that where apearing anywhere & everywhere! Even seaside towns such as Bournemouth had an office boom! I bet good old Blackpool also had some highs of that era & don't forget the rave scene owes some of it's origins to the Manchester club, Hacienda! It wern't all grim up north & it sure wasn't in my family because I was born in 1987 as well!

Funny how people always want either complete liberalism, or conservatism, or socialism, etc. etc.

Why can't we have a mixture of the best qualities from them all??

It wasn't: if you'd read it's intended to show Smoogie the difficulty of life in Lancashire in the 80's
