weeeeeeeeeell admitedly i just pressed play on the station radio and looked at their top 10 to give me a rough idea on where the station is coming from

dont get me wrong - its great you have a (all be it small) station there that does indeed cateer to dance music..

but that is one small area

Im not a fan of radio one or the radio btw. which is why ive started listening to peoples hardcore mixes at work, because they are playing Radio one..

radio one has a ton of faults - one of its biggest being its run by the BBC ;)

but its one redeaming feature is that it is national, you get it from lands end right through to john o groats...and it caters to all styles of modern music...i would say at the end of it its a 50/50 split between dance and everything else that they play..
....

...save hardcore.

and i could blow air up radio ones ass and the BBC's till the cows come home :P

i dont think im going to change my position on American radio stations in general (as much as i think its great you have that station, and as i recall "105 The Party" in illinois played dance music for an hour or so late night friday...but yeah...again...cascada charty crap for the most part, though once i heard safri duo - bongo song...which isnt a bad track at all)

also - take Barnes and Noble for instance..or BB or (rip) CC...
couldnt even try and start to attempt to match the selection of Dance music which you get when you walk into a Virgin, HMV...even our walmart's lol

*further edit*...i was going to write woolworths or zavvi there haha

considering that is my only problem with america, i would say that isnt too bad going!
i could sit here and rip england a new one for a day and a half on all the things i dont like.

The same happened with my 'Im in love' thread which started with a sick tune & ended with a load of random discussion!

smoogie should thank us for keeping his boring-ass-hell topics alive by going off topic, it's the only way ppl will read them!

and here in houston we used to have a top 40 dance station back in the late 90s early part of this decade, but not anymore. even tho it was top 40 dance music, it's the closest thing you will find in electronica music station on FM radio. i doubt i'll ever hear FM radio start playin any UK hardcore around here in houston

on that note, does anyone know how to get a pirate radio off the ground?

it'd be sweet to do that kind of thing... but probably super expensive and near impossible.

I like all music... College Radio espescially, but Underground isn't everything, my friend used to own a Record Store in Chicago (Dr. Wax in Evanston, IL) and it went under because of Music Downloads these days... He's all in to Black Metal/Hardcore Punk! For me I like Dark Step right now... Big shout to Snuggles & DOTTCOM! What Else... I watched the Grammy's and only knew "Coldplay" for the winners so you see how Underground I am but that's where it starts... I hate no artists... But my real feeling is if the Artist is real and inspiriing I'll listen to it! =) I'm even going to an all DnB Event (ooooh!) at a Club (aaaaawww!) You think I give a ****, I listen to anything I like, anyway I like it...
