TypeR sometimes we aren't any better. thanks to rap/hiphop we have somethin called ebonics and i truly despise it. especially when i run into a college student that can only speak it and not real english. it surprises me to see that ppl think they will b getting decent jobs after graduating with that type of vocabulary

Obviously Americans invented it & it can be named whatever they see fit but what gets me is, how many sports have been invented where a countries name takes the full title.
If that isn't excluding other countries then what is?
This means that Americans knew this would be a problem but decided to go for it anyway!
That would mean that football (soccer) should be called British football or even Scottish Football
Also, just because a country puts together the first professional organisation of a Sport, doesn't mean its from that country!
Football (soccer) was invented in Scotland

you have zero idea what you're talking about. in america it's called football, NO ONE says "american football" unless they are speaking to a foreign person who would misconstrue "football" as what we call "soccer."
