i bought the new macbook for school. my old laptop was crap and i figured that if i bought a new one, why shouldn't i spend that much more money and get a REALLY good on.
it's my first time owning a mac, and i think it's just great. confusing at first, but... it's a nice machine, and since it's not made from shitty plastic, i don't think it should deteriorate as easily as my 2.5 year old shit toshiba one that i used to own.

I think HP's the best computer now. Anyway you can get computers that a lot better for 1/3 of the price. Mac is just expensive cause its a mac.

No.
Exactly. But apparently people don't get this. I've got a mac too, well a normal one and a laptop, they're just great. And at school we've got Windows on some.. I don't remember what, not DELL but something else.. and each time I enter the room I think "Oh my god.."

No.
What Apple is doing is taking all of the guts out of a low-spec Ford, making a few minor tweaks here and there, putting it inside a Mercedes body, and charging an extravagantly higher price for it.
Ugh, bringing up the Mac vs PC issue was a bad idea on a forum that has lots of apple fanboys .

That's a load of b*llocks.
Can't argue with that! Such a brilliant statement, words fail me. I have been defeated, you are quite the debator, sir. I shall now go back to enjoying my viruses, BSODs, adware, bloatware, vistaids and being molested by Micro$$$uck. Good day, sir.

Yeah, I had a Macbook Pro, a lot better for Music! There's Mac Users & PC Losers!, take advantage of it for Production, Mixing, Design, etc.! Tons of Power! =)

plastic laptops that live in a school bag and get lugged around everywhere WILL get destroyed faster than one made of metal (even if it is aluminum).
my toshiba one still works, but it's so creaky and shitty now BECAUSE it's plastic and because it did take a beating.
my new one is so sleek and small, and just operates smoother.
and you can install windows on it anyway, so i really can't complain about it. it's priced at 3x more than a crappy laptop because it's 3x the computer a crappy laptop is.
and C cell, my buddy in ontario had the tablet HP computer, it got WAY hot and really, that hinge after 2 years will be shit.
i wanted a tablet, but i sprang for the macbook, because if i was going to be spending the money anyway, i wanted something i wouldn't have to replace in the next 4 years.
