I donno about you but I'd like to see more events here. I'm in Qld and we hardly get any. Most of them are Melbourne and Sydney. Why is there none in Qld or more in Australia for that matter?

Australia has a very strong list of hardcore producers/DJs and could put on some great events, and Im sure they do, Im just not sure where. There are plenty of Aussies on here who could tell you, but Id love to go to an event where Weaver, Suae, Impact, Haze and all the rest all play

If you think the market is there for it then put on some events yourself. :)

Yes, I wish there were as many parties around here in Canada as there were back in 2003 when I started partying and fell in love with Hardcore. Is australia's scene in a low presently, or is it growing? I always hear about Australian Hardcore, so I assumed the scene was good. How are parties with all the great Australian producers? Is there some kind of party-throwing collective around?

Matricks did the scene die down when Hullabaloo ended? i know at least 3 of the DJs retired after the end of Hulla apart from Anabolic Frolic and Silver1

I was very sad to learn that some of my favorite djs were retiring after Hullabaloo! I especially adored D-Minus' cheeze, and his mixes truly inspired me.
I think the Toronto scene is pretty much dead by now, but I'm not totally sure since I don't live there. After the last Hullabaloo, I was hoping that Goodfellaz, the only competitors to Hullabaloo at the time, would keep it up for a while, but they retired with one last event last fall. I haven't heard of any interesting Hardcore event happening in Toronto ever since, and it sucks because I really miss those road trips for an amazing Hulla night with a different international headliner every time.
Here in Montreal the scene has been going downhill for a good while now, and no big Hardcore party has been announced for this summer yet. Some friends were speaking of throwing a party and inviting Gammer to headline, which I think is a fantastic idea. I'm doing what I can to keep the hype for Happy Hardcore alive around, but talented promoters wanting to throw hardcore events are rare around here.

well if you're coming to australia make sure you come to sydney and try and time it with some of out big events. there is something on pretty much every weekend here but we've got defqon 1 coming up in september and the powerhouse raves like utopia and godspeed are always amazing.
the next utopia is in april, utopia homegrown2. 5 arena's all filled from 9pm till 6am with the best australian dj's in the sydney superdome. inside the main arena there's gonna be a 50 ft ferris wheel behind the main stage, indoors :p
