I think the Toronto scene is pretty much dead by now, but I'm not totally sure since I don't live there. After the last Hullabaloo, I was hoping that Goodfellaz, the only competitors to Hullabaloo at the time, would keep it up for a while, but they retired with one last event last fall. I haven't heard of any interesting Hardcore event happening in Toronto ever since, and it sucks because I really miss those road trips for an amazing Hulla night with a different international headliner every time.
Here in Montreal the scene has been going downhill for a good while now, and no big Hardcore party has been announced for this summer yet. Some friends were speaking of throwing a party and inviting Gammer to headline, which I think is a fantastic idea. I'm doing what I can to keep the hype for Happy Hardcore alive around, but talented promoters wanting to throw hardcore events are rare around here.
that's why i moved from ontario to BC (i lived about an hour from toronto). there are a few good parties, but they are at the worst dungeon-esque venues. your mom wouldn't be proud. raves are us was actually at a decent venue, the only quebec party i've ever been to.
there are NO parties in BC as people out here like only dnb and breaks. i'm depressed slightly by that, but i'm thinking of bringing some records to the summer festival out here and showing them all what's up!!

ya toronto is deffinetly not what it used to be. i started partying just at the veeery end of hulla and decent parties and the scene is dismal compared to even then. but its not dead at all by any means.
there are only a small handfull of parties that are hardcore or have any sort of hardcore at them (which is why me and two friends are throwing are first on june26th!!) but there is still people tryin out here. honestly toronto seems prime for a big hardcore boom, as there has been a huge change of the guard as far as ravers,dj's,producers everyone. the scene has many many new members but good intellegent knowladgeable people to point in the right direction
also in the last 2 years toronto has had out: U.F.O, Unknown, Sc@r, Uplift, Impact, Luna-C, Jakazid, Frisky, Hujib and more...Brak is out in May
from north america-AC slater, No Left Turn, Sunrize and more
plus all the great local dj's, both old and upcomming, and many dj's from around ontario come out to play. For instance tommorow there is a party and the headliner is Tamerax from Ottawa.
...maybe not THE bangenest place for hardcore in the world but i dont think you can call that dead.
by FAR the best hardcore party ive been to was way out in quebec city though.art of fighters, sc@r and Uplift. MASSIVE jam!

You're referring to Black Light 3, Halloween 2007! I was there, and that party was amazing! I would have loved to come and see Unknown when he was in TO! What is a good reference to keep up with Hardcore parties in the Toronto area?

or torontoraves.com will have anything up that you need:)
ya Black light 3 was intense!!! i was supposed to go out this year again for Endymion but then he came to toronto the next day and plans fell through.OH ya! we got out Endymion as well! haha
i need to get back out to quebec city though. they do it proper out there.
i had a BLAST when Unknown came out!! man such a good time. not the biggest crowd but an informed crowd. nothin like front row for a top uk man, in your home town, jumpin your face off with your best hardcore buddies! epic!
