Okay I've heard this today for the umm.. like 0135987648510349721384th time, does Hardcore sound like Clown's music to you ?! I've showed Hardcore Tracks to people at my school and everyone thinks it sounds like Clown's music or music that is played at attraction parks.. and they laugh at it. I'm kinda upset. But on the other hand I have to say that these people aren't that wrong.. usually I just ignore it.

Hardcore blames me all the time, SHAME ON YOU, HARDCORE !

That's what I was thinking too.. When I concentrate on a track's melody it really sounds like bouncy-castle-music to me.

Haha, I think it's true some of the old hardcore from the 90's sounds like sped-up circus music! Just listen to 'Force & Styles - Funfair' for example:

what tracks did you show your friends? :P

have a listen to alot of the older happy hardcore stuff

such as
dj demo - carousel
force & styles - funfair
hixxy & sharkey - toytown
seb - rainbows islands (sharkey remix)
dj daydream - whispers (fairyfloss mix)

of course these are really good pieces of music.. just share a similar progression to carnival type music i guess and obviously some sorta similar sounds?

but i do love this music! always have!

Do you listen to music because of what other people think or because you enjoy it? If you enjoy it what does it matter how it sounds to other people? Even if they WERE right (which they aren't, it's just their opinion), does that change the fact that you enjoy it? No....so who gives a shit.
Any good freind will respect what you listen to, as for everyone else, who gives a **** what they think. Everyone has opnions on things, that is theirs, dosn't mean it's true for you.

i agree that some older happy hardcore sounds a little like carnival music.

but definitely some new melodic upfront vocal stuff is about the furthest thing from carnival hardcore.

Iv heard happy hard at amusement parks before, which is unusual, particularly in Aus. More commonly you get hard dance such as voodoo and serano, public domain, scooter type stuff.

I have 2 local fairs and it's not uncommon for them to play Hardcore music at some of the rides. :D

Hardcore doesn't generally sound like traditional carnival music though.

back in the states i would go to places like sixflags and alsorted fairs across the states and they would be playing Nickleback "you remind me of what i really am" type music whilst spinning around on fairground rides...

just didnt suit it

i get back to england and the first fair i go to is pumping out "Signum - Comin on Strong" and dance music upon dance music...

fairs are supposed to be fun, not slit your wrist music :P

clowns music? no definiatly not - amusment park music - yes! and theres nothing wrong with it, thats how it should be at amusment parks!

Such a disppointment that Demo put out that record after doing so many other quality tunes.

Never was a fan of the really cheesey riffs in tunes back then. Lots of otherwise good tunes ruined by embarrassing riff sections.
