i have to listen to it at work cause the bosses like it.
seriously, do they just roll a dice and if it lands on 1, they pick auto-tuned vocal r'n'b, and if it lands on 2 it's very bland indie, and if it hands on 3-6 they get to roll it again?
the people who phone in are morons, the presenters have nothing better to do then recomend youtube videos, and the live news reader can't even read a sentence out without cocking up
however, radio1 aint too bad after midnight, but im usually in bed by this time.

agreed, they play it here at my work 24/7 as well! im surprised you didnt say about how they play the same tracks every single freeking day!!

I don't live in England but at least they play the hits. There's always a channel like that somewhere in the world, wherever you are.
And some of us like more than dance music, so the "indie shit" you speak of shows remarkable talent in a world where rock music has become as generic as, for example, Nickelback.
- Although don't get me wrong, I have heard BBC1 radio and it's not that great. I'm just defending indie.

i can think of plenty of people i know who listen to rock music and NOTHING else because of course EVERYTHING else is to them is shit

i agree with 95. radio 1 is appaling..
ktski's mix is very very good but it doesnt feature all that much hardcore and all the other shows are very mediokre.
chris moyles is a bit of a loser too. far too much dead air and constant boring babble.

I'd much rather listen to radio 2 or 4. Both much better stations. We pick up 87.5 round here as well which plays DnB, Jungle, Oldskool, Breaks, House, Hardcore etc. 8-)
Radio 1 is ****ing shocking most of the time.

Here the radios will offer you mainstream rock, mainstream R'n'B (doesnt have to be mainstream in Finland, if its good enough for Americans they'll play it) and mainstream rap (same as R'n'B).
Depending on the radio channel is how much they play each of those 3 genres. Then there are few compleatly diffrent channels that play "Iskelmä" (=Schlager) Finnish "hits", golden oldies etc, our equivalent to USA's Country music. Which is strangly enough, the only mainstream genre i can tolerate from the radio.
