I have to agree with you there mate. I'm glad to see a guy like stormtroopers had the balls to stand up to these money hungry f**kers! This guys basically sacrificed his own budding Hardcore carear because he got to the top he realised how things really work.
IMO something really has to be done to get these old money hungry sharks out of the scene otherwise they'll take us all down with them. Seriously! this is a big problem & our scenes turning into the many other Dance scenes before. A lot of DJ's thats heads are so far up their own arses they don't give a flying fek about our scene anymore.
Its time for more Hardcore tunes & albums to be given away free & start cutting these guys out the picture. If there's no money for them to grab then they'll call it a day & retire then you'll see who the real Hardcore lovers are.

politics is everywhere, and like MASTERS said stuff really needs to happen to start helping the younger generation of up n comers!!! i av heard lots of things about certain dj's which cant be said as it will get people into trouble, and i dont wanna do that 2 them, but there is dj's out there who need 2 accept, they done good for the scene now its time 2 hang up my boots and let the new kids on the block do there thing... Big up all the talanted producers dj's who are coming up in the scene... DONT GIVE UP ON THE CORE, WE WILL MAKE IT IN THE END.... AV FAITH

You have a link to Fade's original letter?

Im afraid I can only re-iterate what I said in the Stromtrooper post.
I love hardcore, but unfortunately many of the 'big players' who are heavily involved in the scene are either money grabbers or losing their passion and alot of the small guys who could really take this scene places just dont have the knowledge of how to because the big guys dont let them in.
Hardcore fans are generally decent, they go to raves, buy CDs, many are against illegal downloads, they dont go to raves to fight they go to rave, they love the music! The DJs, producers, MCs and promoters should be the same. They should have a passion for the scene, a love for the music and not be afraid to be different or play something different...........
Unfortunately the big guys wont play anything a bit different. You count how many tracks on Hixxy's CXH5 disc were produced or co-produced by him........go on, go check now............As you can see, its the majority. But why????? well, it must be because of one or more of the below reasons.......
- He genuinely thinks that his tracks are the best about atm.
- He loves money and would like some more
- He is scared that if other people feature on CXH, they will get more famous
- His own tracks are easier to mix because he knows the bpm straight away etc.
- He believes that only the RBC produce generic party-core suitable for CXH
- He knows his name will sell records even if its a recording of an emu in a field.
- If he plays a track by Fracus or Darwin, the 13 year old girls who buy CXH will not think he is hardcore
Draw your own conclusions.
Now listen to a CLSM set, or look at Sharkeys Bonkers 17 mix........They will throw 1 or 2 of their own tracks in there, but the majority are other peoples productions. They play the music that they love.......this to me indicates that for them it isnt about money, its about putting a belting mix out there that the hardcore fans will love, no matter who made the track.
You can gain alot more respect by playing other peoples tracks than you can by playing your own. Playing someone elses shows that you are in touch with the scene, you know what you like and are not afraid to play it and that you take time to play fresh new tracks.......
All you DJs, get on IMO, Juno, serious sounds etc and find music that you love......not music because its by a big name and your mate played it in the club last week. Find your own sounds, find artists that you love and follow their career.
Someone on hardcoreproducer.org said 'If you have heard 1 Recon set, you have heard them all'..........That is the problem with our scene.

Money makes the world go 'round, pure and simple.
Sad to admit, but it does. Just love the classics; all you can do.

Im reachin out to a higher ground
To a warm and peaceful place
I can rest my weary face."
