Who are some of your favourite rising stars in Hardcore? There seems to be so much talent. Just listening to some of the new releases has me amazed. Guys like S3rl on Relentless. To me S3rl is an engineering freak. I've never heard basslines or tracks like that before. A friend told me he brought the house down at Utopias main arena in Sydney. And it's great to see another Aussie doing well along with Haze and Weaver etc... Also Obie and Darwin are impressive along with Scott Devotion on Executive.

well, s3rl was unheard of untill late 2007, so i'd say he's still a new talent

Darwin because he's only gotten recognition recently and he rules

Same for Fracus

I can't think of anyone that's been at it for just a short while and deserves recognition. It takes time to become good at this stuff.

all of serls stuff sounds so craaaaaappy. he uses that same annoying glitchy sound in every song, and makes it do that... that thing. ew. just ew.

i would have said michael mansion, but he hasn't really released much since his first little batch.

i'm not sure what to say here actually. i heard JBC on myspace yesterday, i thought he was pretty decent.

You mean the extreme phaser? I think it makes his music sound unique, like I hear a S3RL track and I immediately know it's him. Except Dealer, but that one isn't very good so it doesn't matter.

I'm not a fan of S3rl either... I just find that his style got old so quickly... I liked Transformers, Cruel Angel Thesis and that butterfly remix though.

I love Darwin & Fracus and don't consider them old school, but I don't see them as up & coming, but well established artists in the underground scene.

The one producer I'm looking forward to the most at the moment is Barley, who seems to be more up & coming on the mainstream Hardcore scene, alongside Breeze & the others.

must b a canadian thing since u and vitalism seem to be the few that don't like him

i personally don't like transformers or butterfly that much, and dealer is a meh i hope the remix on the next bonkers is better.

but any aussie producer/dj can become a rising star, seeing how there's a huge mass amount of good stuff coming out from there. Aussies should seriously consider coming out with a multiple disc compilation album, i'd definitely buy that!
