I "believe in aliens," if that's what you want to call it. There just has to be other life forms out there, primitive and technologically advanced alike. There are, without a doubt, countless other planets with the perfect conditions for living organisms to thrive on, in this vast universe.
Ghosts = lol
Poltergeists = lol
UFOs = lol
Gods = And then man created god, for he is fearful and superstitious!
Mediums = lol
Time travel = Pretty much not possible. You can't travel into the future (as the future does not exist yet) and traveling into the past would almost certainly result in sending you into an alternate dimension, with no way to get b.... crap, better stop now before I end up writing a book.

Let me rephrase into something I really meant:
"Don't think you can solve everything, as their are still things out there out of range of our mental understanding."

I used to live in a cottage next to the local church in Great Bookham. There was ghosts in there. Very creepy if you got left there on your own late at night.

I find topics like this interesting.
Why must there be other life out somewhere in space? There is really no reason why there must be. There may be reasons why there may be, but nothing definite says there is. In fact there may be more reason to say there can't be than to say there can be. (Note: havnt highly researched this, but iv heard good arguments for and against. you havnt thoroughly researched this either, so you cant refute this - if im bored sometime il try and find links for and against). You could probably make better estimates of the drake equation by using a random number generator.
Whats saying that other species aren't more advanced than ours? Out of the (roughly) 1.5 million species we know of, none are more advanced than ours. There are estimates of the total no of species on earth (only slightly more convincing than the drake equation) of between 3-30 million. None of those have been noticed to try and give us the heave ho as far as advancement goes. Humans are actually quite an advanced species. No other species can think anywhere near as thoroughly as we can, even though they have had the same amount of time to "evolve" ( assuming such concept exists). So if there are other species out there (thats the first criteria) than chances are they are a lot less advanced then we are.
God. There is nothing to say he existed. Hmm, wont really go into that. other than: Research suggests that the bible is actually quite accurate, historically. Various sources i have read seem to confirm different parts of the bible. The was almost without doubt a bloke called jesus who may have even been crucified. In terms of resurrection, only a few texts not included in the bible seem to agree with this. Anyway my point is that the bible isnt really the work of fantasy most people like to believe it is, it is actually quite historically viable
Note: Sort of playing devil's advocate here - but only sort of; you cannot deny my arguments. Arguments are based on some, but not extensive, research, and I dont have a bunch of references at my fingertips to back me up. References wanted will take a lot of time that i dont really have. However, none of the posts in this thread really have any detailed research put into them, other than "i think this because it makes me feel better about myself".
