Right or Wrong?

If for example, i was to buy the latest vinyl that was released & rip it to mp3 for playing on a CDJ & then proceed to sell the vinyl on Ebay, Discogs Etc. & reclaiming the cash i bought it for.

Just wondering what people think as i started thinking about it & wether it was 'Right' & if it would be classified as filesharing? Tis a strange one!

Wrong. It's like buying a CD and then going home and burning it and selling it. It's still filesharing.

The money you paid for the vinyl goes back to the artists/labels anyway so no i don't think it's wrong.

If he sells the vinyl, no it's not.

When you buy the music it's yours to do with.

As long as you don't make a rip, and the proceed to give out that rip. As long as you keep that rip for YOURSELF and YOURSELF only it's legal.

In Sweden there's a law that allows you to make backup-copy of your CD and DVD (even movies), AS LONG as they are not protected with a copy-protection system.
But if you where to sell the original, then you're not entiteled to the backups either.

In that way, it's wrong to keep them.
I don't know if this law applies to if your original copy tradegly gets destroyed/damaged.

Also on the filesharing part. It's only considered illegal if you where to share it to people you really don't know properly. By laws in Sweden, you're entitled to send a tape/cd/mp3 to another person, under the premisis that this person is either family or close friend, as long as you do it in good faith. In good faith i mean that the person won't share it further

So, it's allowed to make a copy and sell then sell the original while keeping the copy?
That's not (to my knowledge) allowed in sweden, so I doubt it is in the US

I had a somewhat similar question. I bought both HU3, and Relapse, but Hu3 was gonna take a week to get here, and Relapse I pre-ordered. When I bought HU3 I immediately downloaded it, and same with when Relapse leaked. I know technically it's still illegal to download that shit, but morally, who thinks this is wrong? I paid for it, so I really don't tihkn it is, but I just thought I'd see other people's thoughts.
