hmmmmm, im split on this one...i remember walking into WHSmiths or Woolworths..or MVC and picking up a CD single for £1.99/£2.50 and getting 3 or 4 remixes as well as the original
thems were the days!
that's what I said earlier, but in SEK :P
so, my time to say "well said".
Would you like to buy a CD-single with 4-5 tracks for £10?
Propably not, but thats WHAT YOU'RE TELLING US TO DO!
Is it so that its maybe just much for us in Sweden, or countries outside England? £2= around 27-28 SEK
A CD single costs about 19-29 SEK in Sweden. But then you get a CD, not just an MP3.
dutch prices:
single: €5,00
album: €10,00 - €21,99
mp3: €1,49 (usually 192kbps.. im selling 320kbps this price :) random 320kbps tracks usually go for €1,99 )
wav: €2,49
nd thats the avarage prices.. if ya check some on hardtunes.com its already €5,00 for a bloody 192kbps O.o sick!!
i gotta say some ppl really push prices to much.. maybe its to make ppl buy vinyl or cd's.. on the other hand.. if u look at the euro prices for 320kbps mp3 tracks... usually sounds proper (yes i bought quite a lot of these).. deffo worth my cash :)

I'm from America. I'd LOVE to buy CD Singles or vinyl, but the shipping amounts to more than the cost of the record/CD.
So, I'm basically forced to buy mp3. However, being someone under 18, still in high school, don't have a job, I need to be tight with my money, and I only will buy a track if I LOVE it. This results in a very small collection of singles and some mixes that I shelled out for, but most of it is just stuff I can get for free legally (such as FutureNoize singles and Kniteforce Stuff).
I wish I could just walk into a record store and see a wall full of Hardcore. However, these days I can walk into a record store and see a small section for "dance music," none of which is anywhere near Hardcore.
If buying Hardcore would support my local businesses, then I'd do it a lot more often because it suddenly will have more value than giving it to some massive online retailer.

The tunes on download sites are targeted for DJs (extended versions ie intros and outros) not general public (although they can buy them obviously). Those DJ's then (for the most part) get paid to DJ, radio edits and digital album compilations are where you can buy the tracks for 1 pound.

Not missing out on much anyway though, are we :p
I've got Love Comes on vinyl, it's a pretty good track, not as cheesy as all the other RB stuff, imo. Needless to say I wasn't surprised to find out it's a cover ;)

I was not aware of that at all. His sales must be suffering though, if this site is any indication of hardcore djs out there.
