Why is canada such a horrible place for Hardcore?
like i check the event thingy to see if there is anything going on in Canada and there has only been one event in like 6 months. If there was more, im sorry i did not catch them.
But like, its impossible to get any hardcore albums here, hmv doesnt have them in stock, u always have to order them, its kinda gay. The only good hardcore album you could get was Happy 2b Hardcore, but that is no longer goin on.
i know there are a lot of Hardcore fans here, but nothing ever happens.

Oh and you think Austria is better or what ?? Haha …
Well I think you can get Hardcore Albums in stores, or that's what I heard at least .. Many Gabber events ( don't like it ) with sometimes, here and there, one hour of Upfront Hardcore at the beginning. But yeah that's it, that's why I'm switching to Drum & Bass/Breaks coz the DnB scene here is huge and yeah... :) And I can always throw some HHC track at the end of my sets, all ok :P

lol I thought the topic was going to be on why is canada such a horrible place =P
why are you even looking for hardcore cds in a store? everyone knows (or should know) the best place to purchase hardcore in north america is the internet
just because we have a hardcore parties in the united states doesn't mean they are close to us...to describe how close they are...it would probably be like you driving to england =P

toronto ain't bad. there might not be headliners playing there every weekend, but... at least there's something at all. braincell's sunsation party (1 or 2 weeks ago) had luna-c and tony benino headlining i think.
canada does not suck for hardcore, i'd say that's a pretty freakin' good party.
try living in BC. i don't think there has been a hardcore party here EVER in the history of time.

Well, think about it...The store would have to pay for the import from Europe, and how many people do you think are going to run out and buy a Hardcore cd when rap/hip hop/country dominates American media? Sure, a few people might go buy it, but the only reason the Happy2bHardcore cds were so popular was because it was, for many people who attended events, not counting DJs, the only outlet for Happy Hardcore outside the rave. That crowd of people have moved on now and many of this new generation rely solely on downloads for their music. It would just be a money loss for the store importing the cds.

Throwing raves is a LOT of work. The people who throw raves around my area have entire crews who organize and set these things up, plus they hire sound crews and light crews usually.

...back on topic
Canada is not a bad place for hardcore at all. im sorry. it just isnt. its one of the best in the world actually. The ammount of countries that people even listen to Hardcore is pretty small, let alone one's that throw parties, let alone good parties, let alone being able to buy the CD's in store.
Sunsation also had Last of the Mohicans playing, and later this in september Ham is n town and Frisky i guess is 'back' too and a whole slew of very talented locals and sort of locals in a freakin air plane hanger with go carts...how is that so horrible????.
if you live in ottowa there are booming parties there ive heard with the same lin-up as sunsation, and ive seen massive names there within the last while.
in quebec city its MASSIVE for gabber, which is called HARDCORE here. You have Kanibalz krew smashing it, Merkurious is amazing, AND they bring in the TOP TOP names in the genre. The Playah was just there, also anger fist im told, art of fighters i saw, Sc@r and Uplift were at that party as well so there's your UK hardcore. They have high hundreds and even thousands come out to these parties. How is that so horrible?
Not to mention the montreal scene, in London there's some hardcore, Hamilton from time to time...its around man. This is good news!! (if your on the east coast at least...where do you live?)
as far as buying CD's n store...meh, i dont buy any CD's in store anyway..i can download any album from my house (paying for them of course) the days of HMV of limmited as it is...
