try living in mid america!
you say happy hardcore and they are like "how is hardcore music happy?"
i think the closest rave ive even hear going about was in St. Louis or Kentucky, witch is about 3-5 hours away...
id you say anything about hardcore or hhc or anything in edm they dont know what it is, you try to explain they still dont get it, so you let them listen to it and they say "why didnt you say techno, thats what this is smarty pants" i just want to hit them in there face lol, then i explain more and more... then i give it up and call it "rave music" then everyone understands
so its just not canada buddy, i think its every where besides most of europe

where have you been? lol...
I live in Montreal, and I have been to Ottawa for multiple events already. I was there in june for Pirates vs Ninjas, and I missed last week's party, Overboard, because of my stupid car... The party looked amazing too, with Luna-C, The Last Of The Mohicans and Tony Benino Playing. Our homie Dain-Ja was also playing, he was actually in the organisation of the event.
You should check out http://xvi.com/v5/ for infos about raves in Ottawa. You should also check out http://www.rave.ca for infos on raves in Montreal. Orbit1 is coming to Montreal in october for Castle In The Sky. Why don't you come? http://www.rave.ca/en/event/29646/ I also happen to be playing at that party, so you should come and say hello :)

Do you feel any better about living in Canada now? be grateful you are at the right end of the country, as somebody mentioned already I don't think Hardcore is too big on the west coast, or anywhere in between here and there!

Canada isn't that bad, you would have the same problem anywhere other than in the UK.
I can actually go to Archambault in downtown Montreal and buy the latest Bonkers, or Hardcore Euphoria, or even some Hardcore Heaven, but they're completely overpriced since they are imports anyway.
You're wayyy better off ordering you're cds online from hmv or amazon!

you mean Orbit 1 is coming for the same party as Milo? It would make sense for promoters to book him while he is in the country... way to cooperate and split the plane fare :)

i believe they are on a canada/us tour in oct/nov together.
yes its a smart tactic used a lot. for instance tony benino, Last of the Mohicans, and Luna-c, and i THINK deck teaser all came to toronto last week and all played ottawa the next day. promoters go in together all the time. i think its a very smart ay for promoters in NA to get big names from over seas.

Yeah look up Dain-Ja. He promotes in Ottawa and then theres quite few parties in Montreal and Quebec City plus your not to far from Toronto.
Look up www.rave.ca theres events and ravers from Ottawa on there.
I personally have enjoyed the Canadian rave scene! I couldn't complain one bit about it, one of my favourite countries in the world to party in!!!
