I'm not against E (mdma) although have never taken it myself, but I think it is VERY naive and ignorant of you to think that mdma is completely harmless. However, I think a lot of people are missing the point of the topic. I don't think the author once said they were against drugs at a rave full stop* (*period for you guys from the US). They just were having a rant at those that go to Raves for no other reason than to take drugs, and not because of the music. My reply earlier is referring to these people.

if people just go to clubs/raves to get messed up on drugs then they dont actually like the music, its just an excuse to get wasted... if you can enjoy the beats without anything in your system then id say ya love it... i listen to the music i listen to every day, mot of the time im sober as a judge... alchol enhances the feeling... when i used to take pills i used to jut go sleep off them, hence why i stopped.. speed used to be good tho.. i dont do anything anymore other than drink

ok ok ok, how about you do whatever it takes for you to achieve the highest level of excitement of your party experience as long as it's not physically hurting those around you, and we all smile, enjoy the music, and dance together?

I agree with this.
As much as I disagree with doing drugs in the first place (Totally different conversation), I don't mind if someone is doing them. ONLY if they're not peddling it onto someone else. ONLY if they're not trying to force someone to do it. And ONLY if they're doing it, and not physically or verbally abusing someone.

Doing drugs isn't a problem. Doing drugs and causing problems for others is the problem, imo. Do what you want to make you happy, but if you do something to someone else while doing the drugs then you shouldn't be able to do them.
Sadly, not everyone can just be happy with others doing drugs, and letting them be. And vice versa.

IMO when i go to nights i dont need drugs to respect the dj's and the selection of tunes , but i do take mdma or ket when i am out because i feel the music a 1000times more when i am rushing theres no point judging people because they choose to rush matey just enjoy ur night and dont worry bowt how other people like to enjoy theres

just popin in to say i agree with the 'if you arnt bothering anyone, selling to anyone, or pressuring someone, go nuts aaaand tell us all your funny stories!
ive been high on a bunch of drugs, and y'now what? it didnt take me long to realize that it wasnt my thing. i honestly believe you can get a ****ed as anything by drinking and blazing anyway (dont even need the weed, but man, its good to smoke a joint when your loaded!) but if you just wanna get high thats cool, just not at the expense of the music. i still have a problem with anyone who goes out to raves just to do them.......just thinking now, in my whole raving career ive only come across one or two anyway...

I can put up my hand. A night that had huge potential, Transmission magic city 08, I cant remember. A bit here and there but thats all. Joop, Kamui, JTB, Bas & Ram, Pitcher, Technoboy, NoizeControllers. I can remember a track Joop played, I can remember Pitcher played One Blade, and NC played Crump and at one point there was a dancing elephant on the stage. that is all i can remember from the night. Then spending monday and tues scat as hell at work. Was not an experience I want to repeat.

ya i have the same sort of story too, you just reminded me oddly enough. i am into jungle somewhat, or a little more than somewhat, and there was to be a jungle party at the first CLUB i ever went to called VIVA. it was origonally a trance club that had various random acts at it such as lady dana sometimes. the point is this place is the reason i party at all, and it was the first time going back in years. the plan was not to do drugs, but sometimes i just go with the flow and the place was packed with every indication of a great night so i said what the hell. not having taken mdma in a while, maybe 6 months or so, i wasnt thinking, and wasnt thinking about bumping the capsule as i hate stuff up my nose, so i popped this giant thing. (a perfect example of incocent, accidental misuse of drugs). i do remember the first say hour after dropping, and i was gettin REALLY high. the last memory i have for about 5 hours is a girl i was quite fond of, leaving me sitting down in the corner of the outside smoking area (not a seated area) because i told her i was fine to sit by my self and i didnt want to ruin her night (at the time i was high as **** and actually thought that i think lol). then its black until like the last half hour before we left.
THATS SO DUMB and not what id be like normally. i go to DANCE not sit down and feel my face. i go to hear the DJ's rip it, to remember crazy things they did, and especially in jungle try and learn/get inspired by the MC's. i HATE people just sitting down at parties, and i WOULD NOT sober, let a girl im interested in just walk off into a party full o' dudes on the prowl, cuz im happy by myself in a corner trying to control my jaw. not fun. and it ALMOST ruined the weekend ;)
