Wow, calm down?

Things like this, and the postal strike, are completely out of our control. Whilst we did actually personally assemble and shrinkwrap HU1, we didn't do it for HU4. Partially because we don't have access to a shrinkwrapping machine! Heh.

I can't even get overly upset with the manufacturers, as they had to work to the most insane deadline ever imposed involving their entire staff being in at 5:30 a.m to get all copies done within 24 hours. We endeavour to act fast and fairly whenever stuff like this happens, so give us a chance to make it all better before hurling yourselves off something tall onto something sharp.

I can totally understand where she is coming from though. It drives you crazy waiting for the mail, and when you finally recieve your parcel and it's damaged, and you know it could take up to another month to get it fixed, and you also know there is short supply of copies available, it does get you pretty pissed. It's not like we can run to our local music shop and pick up another copy. I'm just glad CDJay knows where we are coming from.

Loads of people complaining about broken discs and broken CD trays.
I received the album myself with both CD trays being broken after I opened the package..

Have a think about this next time please ;)

Tbh there's not a huge amount we can do, short of hand checking each and every unit, which as you can imagine isn't feasible. Any problems encountered this time are more than likely due to the short space of time in which the manufacturer had to turn the product around. This was unavoidable if we were to get HU4 in the shops this side of Xmas, and I'm guessing a few assembly mistakes just slipped through the net. There's only been about four instances I think of all the units released which is a tiny tiny percentage, and as you can see we have moved quickly to try and remedy any issues.

If there is a next time, its unlikely that the deadlines for manufacture will be quite so suffocating. We'll see. Thanks for all your feedback and reviews!

Its true, the effort that has gone into rectifying the errors has far outweighed the errors themselves.

Ps: Fracus your tracks are hawtsauce. :)

What do you mean if? Supply and demand. We demand our underground happyhardcore fix and you are our suppliers, currently the only innovative and decent supplier. You should already be working on HU5!!! ;)

I'm thrilled to say that we absolutely aren't working on HU5 atm.

Instead Fracus and Darwin are writing music, whilst I sleep a lot and occasionally play Streetfighter IV.

Thus the decade ends on a high

Are there any plans for the RFU label? Seems everything has been centered around Hardcore Underground label at the moment.

*continues practicing Ken's super-combo move whilst sleeping*

I/We mean if we have the resources and justification for doing it. We certainly have the motivation and passion, but being an indie label there are unfortunately a lot of other factors that get thrown into the mix as well. HU4 has been better received both commercially and critically than we dared hope tbh, and of course we're always looking at the next thing to do, but its too early to say anything for sure. The last thing we'll ever do is sling out a follow up project that we don't think betters HU4; that's always our aim: to get better. For the rest of 2009 we have more digital releases, probably some announcements of forthcoming projects, and plenty of writing in the studio. HU4 and the four 12" singles to date will definately be our last physical products of the decade though, now 2010 awaits...

Not at least until after CDJay mends his nerves, which will probably be in mid 2010.

On to another year of hardc... wait, it's not even December yet!

I have the feeling trying to better HU4 is going to be an almost impossible task since it has set the bar so high. That said, I thought the same thing about HU4 in relation to HU3 and it blew me away, it really is amazing when you have high expectations and they are not only met but exceeded.

A new HU compilation every 6 months would be great though, it's the right time span to cover the best tracks over the last year and provides a dose of fresh hardcore just when you need it. A year between compilations would just be too long in my honest opinion.

Hope the HU team enjoys their break though, well deserved.

Anyone know when "Omni Trio - Renegade Snares (Darwin Remix)" is likely to be released? Banging track.
