Ok, after some thinking, Brisk & Marc Smith's mix picks up majorly!! So, cd 2 & 3 my top mixes!
cds 3 & 4 for me. I let my friend borrow my copy in an attempt to convince him to buy it, but when i get it back i shall poast picz.
This just goes to show how diverse the HU compilations are and how they cater to everyone's tastes... my fave discs are 1 & 4. That said, I'd happily play any CD and listen to beginning to end without skipping.
QFT, and I also like cds 1 and 4 the best. I liked HU3, but I find myself much more satisfied with every cd and the album as a whole this time. This is the new Bonkers. I don't want the name to change, but I think the music featured on HU has what it takes to make it outside the Underground scene.

I'd agree but if it wouldn't make it I wouldn't want the recipe to change. In my opinion the current HU recipe makes the tastiest cake. :P
I also agree this is the new Bonkers, at least for me, and I think it has the potential to be even better if the innovation and drive from the HU team remains consistent. I hope they charge a couple of extra quid for HU5, it's a big statement to make but the quality of the compilations justifies it in my honest opinion. I've never had a MOS or AATW release where I like almost every single track and would happily let the disc play without skipping. I predict a very bright and happy future for Hardcore Underground if they stick with their mission and values!

I wouldnt call it the new Bonkers simply because it's so hard to get a hold of Hardcore Underground! I don't think anything could fill the original Bonkers series' shoes. I will say that Hardcore Underground is a staple series in the current scene as long as the albums keep to originality rather than remixes of clubland tracks, and continues to sport cheese (which there could have been a little bit more of), euphoric, gabba, & freeform, the whole spectrum (including breaks).

Holy shit I just realised how glad I am for the possibility to order HU albums from play.com
Cdon.com, scandinavian internet store for music etc etc, has HU1(import) listed at 429NOK, which is over £45 >_< vol 3 at 259NOK and 4 at 389 o_O
No wonder hardcore isn't popular here

You can buy everything we can buy because of the internet. I think most people here order off the internet anyway so it's pretty much exactly the same. The only difference is you have to pay more for postage.

Ok, well, lets hop to HMV and order a new copy of HU2. HU4 sold half the copies made through pre-sale. I meant that Bonkers was more widely available in abundance.

Woah heavy reply there! Im sure CDJay or someone could get it sorted, don't fret!
In the meantime just before Rivers Flows In You Starts on the cd load up this tactical clip:
http://clips.imodownload.com/AWF000/[AWF%20009]%20a%20-%20Lumin8%20-%20Rivers%20Flow%20In%20You%20(64kbps%20Clip).mp3
Drop it in, and then switch back to the track after it on the CD, it's like you are actually mixing it up with Fracus and Darwin! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMOGMGOMGOMG
or for some added spice you could add your own track! Mashup.. Say Whaaaaatttttt?!

Believe me when I say stuff like this is more depressing for us than for the unfortunate person who it happens directly to.
Things like this, and the postal strike, are completely out of our control. Whilst we did actually personally assemble and shrinkwrap HU1, we didn't do it for HU4. Partially because we don't have access to a shrinkwrapping machine! Heh.
I can't even get overly upset with the manufacturers, as they had to work to the most insane deadline ever imposed involving their entire staff being in at 5:30 a.m to get all copies done within 24 hours. We endeavour to act fast and fairly whenever stuff like this happens, so give us a chance to make it all better before hurling yourselves off something tall onto something sharp.
