a) since about day one mate, according to the Bible it was not the intended order of relationships.

yep, that and elsewhere, quite a few references actually. It was before the first passover (the firstborn thing) which was coupla hundred years later.

on the whole, I agree with you. While the bible does support their stance against it, I think that often they are just using the bible to justify their homophobic stance. The problem inherent in the system is this: the bible clearly does not support gay marriage. However, it just as clearly condemns homophobia.

You won't find many* that follow it to the letter.
This is talking from all religions that follow the bible, as a whole, most do not take it literally, down to the last letter anymore.
That's what I was trying to get at. Most of it just doesn't apply anymore, like the woman thing.

Im not a christian and u have nothing against gays.. but this is what the bible says:
"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
(theres a list of other stuff u shouldent do aswell)
then this comes:
‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the aliens living among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.

So ye the bible is pretty clear about gay sex, and i assume gay marrige usually includes gay sex

I have never read anything in the King James Bible about same-sex marriage. Does the Bible talk on homosexuality...yes, but I think within only 3 verses throught the old and new testaments. You'll find many homosexuals who are Christians, they just have their own views about what it means to be a Christian. More faiths are now accepting homosexuals within their Church's membership.

Why do people believe in God anyway?
I think in a thousand years or so no one will and the future will have a documentary about us saying how we all believed in a superior being.

Or in a thousand years God will prove his/her/it's existence to all who inhabit the Earth.

doesnt mention same-sex marriage specifically, because it wasnt a problem. Same-sex relations WAS a problem, so it got mentioned. Re: homosexual christian thing, did you read what Triquatra wrote? Once you have sufficently changed a religion so that your satisfied with it even though you're in direct contradiction to the religion, that is hardly following the religion.
So from what he was saying, essentially either you are fundamentally christian or christian by namesakes only, and in all reality, not christian at all.

I think if you put that statement in a time capsule and dig it up in 1000 years, the people will have a good laugh at that. Religion will always exist, people always need something to put their hope in. It may have a different form from current religions but i think religion will always exist. Would not be at all suprised if Christianity was still around in 1000 years.
