Darwin & Entity
Orbit1 & S3rl
Reese & Milo
Oli G & Lost Soul
Put the underground DJ's on the underground comp and this will start to become even more mind-blowing imo. Plus Orbit1 and S3rl both deserve it.
haha This will never happen. But I guess you can dream ;)
Not unless we can drum up sum support... Orbit1 has stopped producing hardcore so thats him out

I'm finding it hard to find any reason at all to fault HU4, it's certainly taken over as my favourite album now, even more than the one that got me into the whole scene in the first place. I thought HU3 was amazing but HU4 has not only met by exceeded it by an exceptional margin.
I would like another Darwin & Fracus disc and another Oli G & Lost Soul disc on HU5 but the others are open to changes.

Well its not that, its more that the compilation is made by HU, they are not exactly going to leave out Fracus when he organises and pays for it with CDJay are they?
Reese & Milo are not well known enough.
Having those 8 would be a massive financial risk, it just wouldnt sell as many units.
Its like the lineup that DJ Revs suggested......
As if they are going to just leave out Darwin and Fracus.....they ARE HU!!!
NuFoundation, Entity, Chwhynny and Phenex are their other artists so expect at least 1 of them to feature

True, but saying "Reese & Milo" aren't known enough is exactly why they should be featured, plus they can push the American side of things.

I can see your point....both guys are very talented too, but 75-85% of ravers in the UK will have never heard of those guys unfortunately, cause they dont go on messageboards or download podcasts etc.
I just dont think HU have the money to try and break America tbh. Its hard and expensive enough just to get CDs in HMV (UK record shop)
I know people say HU is supposed to be underground, but its also a business and they need to sell CDs, the UK is their biggest market, so they need at least a couple UK mainstage names on there....Reese and Milo never have and probably never will play main stage at a big UK event

You're right actually. It feels different here in America since people play Reese, Milo, No Left Turn, and Sean Apollo out at events more just because they are from America.
I am the only DJ who spins HU tracks... I am probably the only one with the CD for miles.
They are very talented but now I realize why it probably wouldn't work.

Thinking about it, what about a Supreme & UFO disc, I'd love that. :)

What those guys should do is like what the Masif Hardcore guys did, make a compilation for the American market with their own stuff on it, and try to get a couple UK guys mixing it too to make UK fans want to buy it

Whilst we aren't even really thinking about an HU5 line-up yet, and such a thing is by no means a certainty, I can safely say that we'd endeavour to balance the need for "known" parties with a desire to invest in exposing new and underappreciated talents.
( Particuarly ones as ridiculously good/consistant/interesting as Nu Foundation, Reese, Entity, etc )
The "Underground" tag comes not from the names on the front cover, but the ethos involved behind the compilation itself. Commercial albums prioritise immediate financial gains over music, scene, representation and ethics. That doesn't mean those facets aren't involved, merely that they have to play second fiddle to the need to sate backing label and retail requirements. That isn't actually particuarly different to the restraints we have to work with, even if the core reasons for it are diametrically opposed, as if the project isn't viable it can't happen and if no-one is interested in purchasing/hearing the result then it's a futile exercise.
We'd love to sell tens of thousands of units of each HU release but we won't compromise on what we want to accomplish musically, or divert project/brand direction, in order to do it.
I've gone off on a tangent, I fear.

Why would you want 3 discs when HU 3 + 4 have both been 4 discs...?
