I'm not to keen on Australia's draw. Germany first up, then Chana and the last match against Serbia. Tough draw. We'll be lucky to make it through. If we get 2nd in the group, then we'll prob play England in the next round.

1st: USA
2nd: England
3rd: Slovenia
4th: Algeria

USA are a good team in my opinion, I'm not saying they will win the World Cup, but they have a good chance of being first in the group.
I'm still not convinced with England, they have a lot of World class players then there are mediocre players such as Crouch, Bentley, Heskey, Johnson, Bent etc, and watching them play it's as if they have no chemistry whatsoever. I don't think they'll win the World Cup and once they get a good team in the group stages they'll get pissed over.

As for Slovenia & Algeria..HA!

USA are a good team? They're better than most people think.

they are a good team, but they are not that good.
edit: just to clear up that i'm not an england basher as well, i think they are a team of EGOs that need to think about how good they really are and not how good the papers say they are..

hey it could happen. england is notorious for having slow starts in competitions. but with capello at the helm I doubt it =P

The Aussies have it tough?

I dont think so :P

Yeh up against Germany in their first game bit the other two teams will be interesting.

Australia were up against Japan AND Brazil in the 2006 World Cup and that was tough yet they got though to play Italy. Australia has the potiential TO win the world cup :)

I seriously doubt England will finish below the USA. England should top the group pretty comfortably. They have one of the best squads at the tournament and, for once, a world-class manager - there are no excuses. Despite not being a bad side, the USA are still pretty inferior, England should be looking to beat them.

Maybe some don't want to say that for fear of it backfiring. However, I'm not English, therefore I have nothing to fear should I call that one wrongly.

They were also only eliminated due to a cheating bastard diving for a last minute penalty. It's a shame they got a favorable draw, I can't stand the Italian football team. It's full of dishonest cheats. The kind of players who'll dish it out physically, but will collapse in a heap if you step within a yard of them.

we also went into the last world cup with a stigma for rough play which hurt us. We also should have made it into the top 4 that year.

We should make it into the next round and beat england.

slow starts is being too kind to them, in comps like this the England team have trouble stringing 3 or 4 passes together normally....

The problem with England is that our defence is gash!

Yeah, on paper we have some of the best defenders in the world, and when they play for England they look good and solid cause we dont get tough draws in qualifying, we get Andorra, Kazakhstan and so on.

As soon as our defence comes up against world class players like Spain, they look average. John Terry always has to clear up the mess that Rio Ferdinand finds himself in, and Ashley Cole is waaaaay to shakey at left back when hes up against a top right winger and we dont have a right back to shout about either

I also think goalkeeper is a worry for us, Spain have Casillias, Reina and Victor Valdes to choose from (they all play first team for 3 of the maybe top 7 or 8 teams in the world)

We have James (playing for the 20th best team in England), Green (Playing for the 17th best team in England), Foster (Bench Warmer at United) Robinson, who is certainly no world cup winner.

Even Italy have people like Buffon, Amelia, De Sanctis etc
