Obviously now i know different but at the time it was released I thought that was a woman :/. I thought Ant Johnson was the guy doing the rapping and the "female" vocalist was uncreditied.

Well yesturday I was listening to some classic breakbeat tunes. The original Happy Hardcore and it was amazing. You get a real feel for the music out of those tunes. The thing is those tunes where Happy Hardcore. The harder stuff was Hardcore. These days Hardcore has no ties to the original stuff. It seems pointless to take a style of music, change things a bit, water it down and still call it Hardcore. Those tunes where Hardcore then and still are now. The music might have evolved but it feels un natural for it to sound like it does now. (Or at least the stuff on Clubland)

WTF are you talking about?

ALL the male vocalists need to go. They just sound awful with Hardcore. Always have & always will.

But there was no mention of Clubland in the conversation? We were talking about confusing a male vocalist for a female vocalist. Why would you come out with such unrelated bollocks?

I know what you mean, i'd rather listen to Lisa Abbott murder another cheesy, UK Hardcore/pop tune anyday :/

Cheers dude!

Okay! So, first off, I'm going to say that I am far from an expert here, I could be talking a lot of rubbish, but...I hope not!

I really like nowadays hardcore, but I think I like the older stuff a bit better, but absolutely you do get the present-day stormer which makes me think "Yeah!". Dunno what it is really but I remember in a load of the old records you'd get a big break in the track, and it'd just feel magic, love it.

Anyway, I think Hardcore Underground bunch and a lot of the Aussie artists and DJs (Orbit1, S3RL, SPIT, Lumin8 etc.) are going one way, and the clubland sound (Dougal and Gammer, Darren Styles, Re-con, Squad-E etc.) is going the other. Not to say that it's splitting up, but I think they've got different objectives in mind in what they want to sound like; which actually works out really well for me.

Anyway! Could be talking total rubbish! Either one is good for me, because as long as the music makes me move and makes me feel great, I'm happy as ever!
