what do you rekon to the new name of uk clubland hardcore?... or maybe happy style?

im listening to the current clubland album and to be honest thats the way its goin.. the riffs are choppy a is the kick just like in hard/jumpstyle.. dont know if im explaining myself very well but im not too clued up on the technical side of things but its very hardstyle/jumpstyle..

do you rekon we try get the commercial clubland side of hardcore to be rebranded under a different name?

by the power of the internet i rekon we can do it..

i dont want this music to be called hardcore.. to me it isnt hardcore.. it reminds me of the raveland albums.. google them if you havnt heard them..

anyway, heres a few names i shall start off..

happy hardstyle
happy style
happy jump
bouncy trance
bouncy jump
hard handz up

It's hardcore by science, not by sound, because it's edm at 170 bpm. Case closed.
Why do you care? Just sink in to your own little world of what you think is 'real' hardcore and get on with life.

i agree with trimms :P

every genre has its cheesy and commercial side.

on the lighter side of things though, im not a fan of those names

i think if they wanted to make a "name" for the cheesy bouncy clubland-styled hardcore..

how about "clubland on 45" :P

It's Hardcore. I do notice the jumpstyle feel within the tracks, but other than that, it's Hardcore.

I bring this argument up again, what about other genres at 170 bpm? Like Psytrance.

i agree bpm count isn't always a clear way of categorizing edm.

also, isn't happy hardstyle just jumpstyle, like the scooter stuff?

and yes the whole clubland shit topics are overdone let's keep that in the cxh topic so i can easily ignore it!

Hmm... you're right but that being said, a lot of Psytrance isn't even 150+. That's just a sound really. I mean rap could be at 6 bpm or 600 bpm, but it's still rap (and would probably sound like shit xD)

hmm, i dunno. latininxtc brings up the point of the scooter hardstylecore and thats whats commercial. (guilty pleasure of Jadore hardcore. I KNOW I KNOW! lol) but i dunno about categorizing a new genre altogether....ftr though a blending of hardcore and hardstyle could not be more of a perfect dream for me. so bring it on

ps its christmas eve and i dont think ive ever posted so drunk so i dunno if that made any sense. even worse if it did and i elxplain my drunken ness unessisarily lol

also why does hardstyle get a red line under it when i type like its not a word, but hardcore doesnt! ****in discrimination! lmao...merry christmas lol
