I do wish more artists would distort the vocals, or loop them, or do something! It's electronic music, we have the technology to break apart vocals and do whatever we want to them.

no no no, no such thing as a track better without miss Vicky Fee's voice! She's a blessing to the genre! The old instrumental version does sound a bit dated when compared to the vocal update.
i agree vocals do not hurt that track i can't imagine the track w/o vicky fee!
Well here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NO-RGc7_Rn0 Those vocals and vocals shots are way better than the one from Euphony's version imo! I mean it's just Vicky's lyrics that don't fit to it, imo.. Otherwise Mike did a good job on it, gotta love the piano!

Do people still care for vocal-based hardcore?
says in orgasam voice to your question
'oh yes oh yes oh yes' please.
And keep it nice and melodic and just like the old days please
I have been playing CLSM > TAKES ME HIGHER (DJ SEDUCTION MIX)
just love the vocals in it and the choice of melody really gets me going in the morning

I don't think vocal hardcore is disappearing anytime soon. :)

Yeah, it's great to hear when the artist plays with the vocal sample and uses it in different/unique ways. I love hearing chopped vocals!

Female vocals yes. Male vocals no. I've never liked male vocals on Hardcore. Just sounds horrible.

I hear nothing but vocal based Hardcore, i actually found the question very odd because there is so much of it. As long as people like vocals there will be vocal Hardcore (and people will always like vocals).

I like "intelligent" vocals!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n96pLDhuENo The sample in this track for example is from Maya Angelou's poem "On the Pulse of Morning" which she read at the 1993 presidential inauguration of Bill Clinton ;) That proves that the one who made the track is really someone intelligent, and who knows about things happening in the world, that's important imo. Someone cultivated :)

That narrows down your tastes a whole lot, since intelligent vocals are probably around the odds of 0.00001% in dance music. To me, vocals are an instrument, just like the synth lead of the percussions. They must have a good flow and a good melody. Just like a synth, some vocals sound cheap, and some are just plain annoying. The LAST factor that comes into the equation for me is if the lyrics make any sense, if they have any kind of poetic quality or if the matter is of any relevance.
