Is it racism too when Turkey banned burka and many types of headscarfs in universities? IMHO people have abused the word racism for so long that it has lost its meaning.

On Brussels in general, doesnt seem like a safe place.

With all due respect, it seems you don't spend your day listening to bigotry ******** once the Moroccans are out of earshot.

As for the video:

That was talking essentially about Molenbeek and Schaerbeek, and I'm sorry but the facts simply aren't true. I walk all over this town, every day, well dressed with money on me, and the worst I get is someone asking 'Where did you steal that?' or 'Are you from Uccle (rich commune)?' with a little sarcastic laugh.
Essentially, that documentary seems to me to be an enormous exaggeration of the truth. There is crime here, but there's crime in every city in Europe.

@Lilley, the crime level in Schaerbeek is the 2nd or 3rd highest of the 19 communes. And yet, piss all ever happens here. It's just overcrowded (14000 inhabitants per square kilometer)

TBH i have very little experience with Belgium. But after quick google, it seems to be the opposite. I found one site though that should (?) have official crime stats, but its not in english so dont understand it:
http://www.polfed-fedpol.be/crim/crim_statistieken/2009_trim3/comp_prov_pz_gem_bru_fr.php

Other stuff i found:
http://www.cafebabel.co.uk/article/32680/brussels-crime-rate-crisis-districts-albanian-zero.html

Personally i see this issue as something that has been downplayed and silenced throughout Europe. So i consider the police interviews to be truthful. After all their the ones seeing it first hand.
