THIS THREAD IS VIDEO INTENSIVE STARTED BY MYSELF, AND ANY OTHER VIDEOS POSTED!
Well I was working on a project of mine, and was going through my songs on my music player (I for the life of me can't remember that name of it, the basic one on Ubuntu 10.01 LTS), and I kept thinking about favorite songs, favorite artists, old favorites, etc. So I decided to make a thread about it to find out everyone else's!
So to start out as an example I will list the type of things you can list:
~Favorite Song (Of all time, this year, etc.)
~Favorite Song (Current)
~Favorite Artist (Current - Someone you're constantly going back too for new releases)
~Favorite Artist (All Time)
~Favorite Album/Record (Current)
~Favorite Album/Record (All time)
And anything else you can come up with!
Note: It doesn't have to be EDM, but most of mine will be. For the sake of it's the only genre I've listened to in the past years. I still listen to old school hip hop, nothing new except some R&B, some newer rock (Linkin Park, Disturbed, etc.), older rock, and 50s era music.

Mine:
Favorite Song (Of all time):
Literally the first song I knew every lyric too.
Favorite Song (Current):
Favorite Artist (Current):
Kidd Kaos, he's produced a lot of tracks I just love completely. He's someone I keep going back to see more and more, I love a lot of his songs, albeit not all of them, but a damn lot for sure:
Favorite Artist (All Time):
This one was a tough decision to make really, but I ended up with Bob Seger as he was one of the people I grew up listening to in my house, and it still sounds as great as it did before:
And I'm stopping there, because to be truthfully honest, I've never bought an album full. And no, that doesn't' mean piracy, I'm against that 100%. I just buy singles here and there because one I'm getting what I want for cheaper, and not getting a CD that can be disappointing with the other songs.

~Favorite Song (Of all time, this year, etc.)
~Favorite Song (Current) (can't help myself it's catchy!)
~Favorite Artist (Current - Someone you're constantly going back too for new releases)
~Favorite Artist (All Time)
~Favorite Album/Record (Current)
~Favorite Album/Record (All time) i know y'all think the quality of this series wasn't at all great, but the tracklist to this 1 was phenomenal imo
and for the same reasons as 1&only EDM, mostly hardcore is what i've been mainly listening to for over a decade. i'll probably put up a non-edm version of mine later on, but that'll take some critical thinking. or i'll just end up making it a non-hardcore

With all the criticism I get for the music I listen to you'd think I'd develop better musical tastes. Well that's too bad for them I guess...
~Favorite Song (Of all time, this year, etc.)
Very laid back, every since I heard it when I was 13 it never got to old for me. There's a version without the lyrics that I like more but I couldn't find it.
~Favorite Song (Current)
Such a fun tune to listen to it always picks me up.
~Favorite Artist (Current - Someone you're constantly going back too for new releases)
So far everything he makes is gold.
~Favorite Artist (All Time)
Secede is amazing because he takes something as mechanical and artificial as electronic music and makes it sound so organic and alive. It doesn't help that he takes his sweet time with his work either (about 3~4 years for him to release something).
~Favorite Album/Record (Current)
Amazing mix by Cube::Hard it's nonstop breakbeat goodness.
~Favorite Album/Record (All time)
It's hard to not listen to the entire album because each song has a strong relationship with the other and listening to just one tune would take the entire meaning of this album out of context (so I chose the worse one to listen out of context). It's one of the rarest albums I own and those nutjobs at discogs are always charging $150~$500 at the marketplace so this is also one of the most obscure ones I own.
And anything else you can come up with!
This damn song has been stuck in my head for weeks!

To save our browsers, could people perhaps post links and titles rather than the video?

You're really missing out you know, imo the best songs on an album are very rarely the singles. You really miss out on some musical brilliance by not purchasing albums.

Fave song:
Two all time favourites that I keep coming back to are these
Sunscreem v Push - Please Save Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOcPvLkjD-k
Fave Song (Recent) LSG - Netherworld - While being years old, have only just heard it and it continues to blow me away. I am going to post the vid of this because if you like trance you should definitely listen to this. It should really be law.
Currently revisiting my childhood and I found this one recently and it's great. Plummet - Damaged. If you're under 20 you probably havn't heard or dont remember this. Worth checking out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDuSnrOUfw0
Fave Artist Probably no current fave, but there is absolutely no doubt as to my all time fave artist, METALLICA
Fave Album (Current) Northern Exposure: Expeditions, particularly first disc. http://www.discogs.com/Sasha-John-Digweed-Northern-Exposure-Expeditions/release/21353 Fave Album: This is really hard, I've had lots of arguments with various people about it. Ride The Lightning or Master Of Puppets?? The one I have previously chosen, and continue to choose is the one that while it may not necessarily have the best track on it (and that is debatable), it has the best mix of tracks and I think are better tracks when averaged out over the album. So Ride the Lightning it is. http://www.metallica.com/Media/Albums/albums.asp?album_id=2 Note that pretty much every track on this album could be included in my favourite song of all time list.
Another good one I havn't listened to recently is Pink Floyd - The Wall, followed closely by wish you were here.

They do you're right. But the vast majority of the time the thread is full of nothing but EDM. In fact often they're nothing but Hardcore, which is laughable.

If hardcore is any given person's favourite, then they are fully entitled to post hardcore. If you don't like hardcore, then post something else. There are no right and wrong answers when it comes to preference, even if you think there is.

Lol this is what i always think and it's the very same thing i thought about the thread you made; as if it's all anyone listens to.
Anyway, aside from that, One More Time is indeed an amazing tune.

Go join the suicide cult on a Death Metal forum, then.

I would guess that edm holds an absolute majority (ie. above 50%) of what I listen to. Dunny why, there's lots of other stuff i like, i guess I just get withdrawals if I'm without beats for too long.
