Probably one of the '91-'92 tracks like 'On A Ragga Tip', 'Sweet Harmony', 'Outer space', etc.

I'd say the old skool sounds have come back. Just look at the breakbeats, stabs and pianos cropping up in Fidget House, Dubstep and D&B tracks.

Smoogie's absolutely spot on.

Within a couple of years under the Tories, we'll be back where we were 20 years ago!

Now let me re-iterate some of the points said earlier. I'm only 14, and I only just got into hardcore in 2008. I listened to absolutely heaps of the stuff, most of it being new, but NEVER any clubland stuff. I admit, Darren Styles and others are trying to take hardcore the wrong way (Straight into the jaws of AATW Records). But there IS good modern stuff. The fact that modern stuff has a better sound simply because we have more complex technology now allowing us to create different and more original sounds.

I like some of the oldschool stuff, and if you like it LISTEN TO IT! And if you don't like the modern stuff, don't listen to it! Just because it is where the scene is currently at doesn't mean anyone is forceing you to listen to it. Don't try and bring back the past, simply contribute to the future.

Oh and just to let you know, the first few clublands and clubland xtreme hardcores were good until they all just turned into remixs of RnB songs :/ not good

i enjoyed the first clubland xtreme hardcore, it had a few good tracks on it..

but you're totally right - it did just turn into RnB type remixes ....i mean..like Iyaz - Replay - who would remix that into hardcore...right?

;)

The old skool revival is well underway. Check out most Rave Breaks, Hardcore Breaks & J-Tek. If you like your early to mid 90's hardcore then you won't be disappointed.

The only disapointing thing about the Nu Rave scene at the moment is there isn't enough regular new releases and there aren't enough nights around yet but it is there you just need to look.

Don't forget Rebild Music for the more harder side of things with Dutch style kicks. More Freeform and less Old Skool but some old sounds being used well and as always the hard kicks come out good. All these people sayonf Old Skool won't make a come back need to stop being so negative lol
