I certainly wouldn't say it's a measure of intelligence, but a lot of the time you can definitely gain a degree of information about someone by looking at what enjoy watching, mostly whether you are like minded or not, although it's still very limited information.

This is basically what I was trying to convey the first time. Don't know why it came out a lot easier this time lol

This isn't just in relation to paranormal activity, but all films in general. How come there are some films that some people will LOVE and others will HATE? People will say, sure, different tastes - but what does that even MEAN, is what Im trying to get at.

I don't think it would be fair to say someone wasn't scared because they're not imaginive enough. It might just not be pushing the right buttons for them. I wouldn't say it's intelligence either, more of a psychological thing really. Things just affect people in different ways, possibly down to past experience, how they look at things, whatever. You could say how someone looks at things is down to intelligence but I don't think it's always as clear cut as that.

My mum can't even watch a horror film because they scare her so much and she's a very logical person, straight A student and doing her Masters degree in history. I also know some pretty dim people who get scared shitless over scary films and I know people who are the opposite of both these examples.

Oh definitely. Doesn't give you much in the way of hard facts but it certainly tells you things about the person.
