Hello all.
I was wondering if it is possible for a DJ to make it big in America in the hardcore scene. I have never really heard of any big hardcore names in America, all of the big names come from Europe. This is a question I have been pondering about for many months now.Being a hardcore DJ superstar is my dream so I really must know if it is possible.
If there are any big names in America please let me know of a few of them.

I know he is more Gabber then anything else, But what about Ron D Core? that is if you guys have heard of him.
If he can make it big In Gabber from California I don't see why someone could not make it big in hardcore.

yes but Reese has mentioned that he won't be making or probably mixing Hardcore anytime soon. A well-known one that has been around for awhile is Jimnie Cricket from the state of Washington. she's been around for awhile. and we usually get Moonstruck Red here in TX but i think he's mostly popular just in this state not nationwide.
there were older ones that had a good career peak back in early 2000s but they didn't last long. can't remember names off the top of my head tho

Isn't Oli G over there now too? He certainly was at one point.
I guess names moving from the UK don't count though. :P

Move to San Fransisco rofl... that's the only place with a VERY lively hardcore scene that I know of. Then again that might just be because I knew the guys who ran Nebula M78 really well, if anyone has heard of them.
To be honest though, being a professional DJ is like getting into the NBA without being scouted. You just start playing and hope to god somebody who likes what you do is close enough to notice.

well that certainly wastes every1's time. the majority of hardcore djs don't even care about djlist i don't see any of the ones from the UK on there. and i actually know Podan, Spyder, Krupt & Punk Josh they're good djs imo, but they're high up there b/c they ask every1 they see to vote for them. and the hardcore they mix is mostly going to be gabber, but they tend to mostly spin dnb, dubstep, US Hardhouse & New Style
