I have the black one. My previous one was a MuVo too, still works like a charm. But the 256Mb limit was starting to annoy me:

...and before that used a minidisc.
PS i have the 64MB version of this!

I prefer Sony's mp3 walkmans tbh, but one of the cons is that you can't really make a playlist (and somehow when transfering files the YEAR/DATE tag gets removed).
I used to have a MuVo to, the 256 version without display too.
These are the ones I used to have:
(Samsung?) Yepp YP-E64 - 64MB with a memory card slot in. Had a limit of 40 minutes and/or eleven songs, even at lower quality :P *got stolen*

Sony NW-A608- I liked the design on this. It also had true gapless playback. Too bad it needs a specific software to upload files :(

Cowon iAudio 7 - Bought it for the flac support, but rarelly used it :( *dont have anymore*

iRiver S20 - Fairly little bastard, baiscly no weight and 2GB memory.
Still have this one, except i dont have the means to connect it to a computer, or even reload the battery :(

Sony NWZ-A818

Sony NWZ-A829

iPod Touch G1 8GB
Sony NWZ-S739F
currently using for mostly hardcore related music and "quickswaps"

iPod Touch G3 32GB
currently using for non-hardcore music with covers
As you can see, I've had alot :P Basicly I like the sony ones (the later ones have better drag n drop support without any particular software. The only error is that I cant use a proper media player (foobar) to re-arrange tracks and playlists :(

I remembered wrong, i actually have the 4Gb version. It has 1,5Gb of free space ATM. All my current work stuff is in there too, plus archives from few regular customers in case i need them. On top of that is the music. I just added them to winamp and its 287 tunes/mixtapes, >27 hours of music. I dont store music there, i add stuff that i listen. Though i try to keep few CD's of a specific genre just in case i get in the mood. ATM theres 5 JHardcore compilations, 3 RMB albums, all Naturatech's tunes, Finnish dance folder, Taylor Swifts album, 2 Laura Sullivan's albums, few "random" folders and 4 mixtapes. If a want something else, i transfer it to the stick before i leave from home...

If you want a small mp3 player, get the Sansa Clip2 :)
Lowd as hell and supports nearly ever file out there (inc flac and ogg)

As for someone suggestion sony... dont
They arnt plug and play, you need to use there crappy software.. even if you use a fix found online it puts EVERY song in its own folder when it manages the files.
You could always just buy a 2nd hand ipod for 20pounds on gumtree.. save a bit of money, 100s on there

Actually the newer Sony MP3 players don't need it's own software any more. It's been like that for a good 2-3 years now. The software was never a real problem for me anyway, and it's no worse than iTunes. I prefer Sony myself too, sound quality wise, they're ahead of everybody else.
I have question for people with the 160GB iPod Classic, does your hard-drive make a noise when shuffling through music? I've Googled' and people say it's fine and it happens to all the newer versions and that they've taken it back twice and it still makes the noise but some people say I should probably return it immediately.

Yeah that is fine, it shouldn't be audible unless you put your ear by it, it's just the read/write of a hhd. Unless it sounds like it is scratching you are fine.
And to the eq thing.. Sorry I was thinking of when I had rockbox on my nano, this is all I have

But there is a workaround, well it works on mine...
Just do this in itunes...

That makes your own eq, save it then sync your ifag up, then you should be able to have new eq's, pain in the ass but it works...
I felt left out so thats why I post so many pics :D

Wow thanks for that EQ tip, I'll give that a try in the morning.
As for the HD, I can hear it when not up against my ear but it's practically silent, I'm not that worried for now anyway.

Well if it is louder than a laptop drive, then be questionable. You should hear maybe a tick thats about it.
And if you want the songs to be louder do this.
Also if you dont know, if you use the "summary" tab in the pics bellow, it will tell you bitrate and stuff.
So use this sound tweak if you want to normalize your songs so they are at the same loudness or if you want to try and get past the sound cap!

Hope that helps too!
If you want to change all them at once, do the "ctrl+a" thing then right click and do it.

I wouldn't normalize a compressed file
