Taking painkillers with codeine in isn't going to get you high so that explains why it didn't.

Apart from a select few other people you are one of the biggest morons on this site, Kathryn. And it's painful - PAINFUL - how stupid some of the things you say are, and you don't even realise it.
We've all seen it through many threads... and it usually has to do with drugs.

Well if you are taking them for pain, they might work as they are supposed to without the head ****. I never touched the prescribed ones when I got my wisdoms out because I didnt need them. Didnt need pain killers at all, but still took some milder ones just for fun.
Were you eating before taking them?
I'm talking, not eating most of the day then taking a bit mid arvo.
Also, I'm not taking them regularly so would have more effect.
Considering kathryn was addicted to codeine, I reckon she would know how much is enough to be active.

Meh, I would say that considering she is a mother, her stance is understandable. Not necessarily right, but understandable. Mothers typically deal more with the emotional side of thinking rather than the reasoning side, due to trying to protect kids from various evils etc. Given that she is probably the only mother on these boards, it's also understandable that no one really sides with her.
Also, considering she is an ex-addict which brings the benefit of hindsight (something that not many of us can claim to have), I can also understand her stance on drugs. Combine that with the mother/emotional thinker position, and viola, there's your poison.
I still disagree with her though, but then I'm a reasoning thinker through and through.

Kathryn is far from a moron. I can tell you that from personal experience not just from some misunderstandings on an internet forum. Some of the things Kathryn writes get interpreted incorrectly and half of the time she is just joking around to get a reaction out of people, some people fall for it hook, line and sinker every time, you being one of them.

She SHOULD think that way as a mother.
Do mistakes while you're young and you'll be fixing them for the rest of your life. I think all mothers should be preventing them.
I know I sound like some kind of a teacher, that's just the way it is.
But if u think correcting mistakes makes life more fun, i say go for it! I see no fun in it.
