Firstly its more 2.5D game then anything. I think it might be one of the hardest games I have played for the wii, even next to Metroid: Other M, and that game is a challenge.
What you have said is like saying that The New Super Mario Bros, is just like the first ones but with newer gfx.
The New Donkey Kong is pretty hard IMHO.. I'm only in the third world and its one of only a few games that piss me off and I almost throw my controller. Most of the levels are hard are thought out, hidden shit all over, and even the first two bosses were hard. I havent got a chance to play the co-op in it, but if its anything like the first few on the old school gens then it will be awesome.
I just dislike that some of the maps you have to die more than once to beat it, like on the "tidal terror" I couldnt finish that one without the "super guide" doing half of it... Other levels you just fly to the end. I am happy they fixed up the animals you can ride, I am kinda disappointed in the controls tho... I hate using the controller sideways, my hands are way to big for it..
So all in all I say it is one of the best wii games out there... I havent tried to the Sonic, nor Epic Mikey nor Kirbys Epic Yarn. They are downloading as we speak.

i haven't played it i'm only going by what the trailer shows. i've never been a huge fan of the donkey kong franchise, so i should've mentioned that before lol
i got rid of my wii because i couldn't find a lot of games that I liked on it. and also too many cartooney, family games on there too. only games i really enjoyed on it were smash bros brawl, zelda twilight princess & no more heroes
prefer the gameplay of zelda and rpgs like Final fantasy now, since i've always been a big fan of exploring in games. played sonic & the 7 rings on Wii and i hated not having completely free control of sonic like the Dreamcast games.
and also i like fighting games. i got the ps3 mainly for the upcoming marvel vs capcom 3 game

wilky tip for ya. buy the invincible juice for the bosses.. and play in two player mode on your own... leave diddie behind, don't worry he will follow u and then donkey dies u take over with diddie..

Look at the gameplay on the new sonic... for the wii but ran on the computer...

There are plenty of games for the wii. Have you played the "new" mortal combat for the wii? Pretty sexy.
But everyone has their own taste, I play the wii for relaxing type of game play. My 360 is for the yelling at 10 year old kids on live..
You going to get the new zelda game when it drops like next month?

the juice is in the shop and costs 20 coins..
as for other good games, I've got Mario kart, sonic team racing and the new sonic colours which I havnt played yet...

I'm surprised you guys find the new Donkey Kong hard. It's frustrating sometimes and some points but not really that difficult. I'm usually the one who always complains about difficulty and others saying it's easy and not that hard. It's next to impossible to finish levels without having Diddy Kong with you though. Sadly, I had to get rid of the game because it has made my blood boil many times and I had enough. I'll finish the game another time.

that new sonic game will be good as long as it isnt like the last one with the shitty werewolf levels
GT5 is pretty great, but a little disappointing. The graphics are great in some places but pretty bad in others, but I only have it running in 1080i so that could have something to do with it.
they only rendered 200 cars in HD and only with those ones can you have a cockpit view, the other 800 cars arnt really available for whenever you want either. 20 or so random ones will show up in the "used car lot" at a time
The physics are the best thing going, the cars handle very true to life. the game is very fun to play, but a tad dull.
personally think nfs shift 2 will be better, I loved the first one
