Yeah, private voting. That will work. Seeing votes is just kind of depressing...
Must have a HHC forum count to enter and vote, and your account can't be too new. I don't want anyone stuffing the ballots; not that any of you would stoop that low. ;)

might have to enter a mix. ill fer sure purchase the latest hardcore which i enjoy at the time i have to do my mix. or i could do sumthin complete different and do a breakbeat hardcore mix.

Just putting my two cents in.
We need a time frame for the mixing/uploading, and need a time for voting.
10 days to post a mix.
5 days for genre voting.
5 days for the best over all mix.
So like this with the voting..
Best out of genre 1,2,3,4. Then those 4 are put up for best mix.
Every member can vote for each genre, and once for best mix. You may vote for your own mix for that genre if you please. If you make it to best mix, you may no vote for your own.
I say they must be from 25 to 35 minutes, no over or under.
Must be on soundcloud.
Must have a tracklisting.
One mix per person.
Private voting.
Results that will be post should be in percent, to lessen the pain if you had one vote.
If I had something to give, I would make it a prize, but I dont. Would be cool if a member would put a $10 gift card up for the best mix winner.
I might jump onto this, maybe...

if the results competition is in late april/early may. i could give up like
$20-first prize
$10-second prize
$5- 3rd-5th

I've already mentioned the possibility of prizes, so it will happen. Not sure how yet, maybe give choices depending on location/preferences. As for deciding on best in each genre etc, it will have to depend on how many entries there are. If the people here are as discerning as i'd like to think there shouldn't be a problem with different genres being in the same contest. On the 'where to post mixes' question, it would be good have them all in the same place but might be tricky for some. Once we have a final entry list (hopefully tomorrow) we'll decide then.

-1 to Soundcloud - they've started to remove mixes from the site for copyright reasons. Mixcloud may be a better choice.
Is it going to be one mix per entrant, or can you enter in more than one genre?

Noted mate 
I reckon one mix per entrant- partly because we don't really know what genres we're getting, partly because i don't know how many actual entries will come in! Good job i'm not entering - there's about 5 genres in my mix!

Just bought a mobile CDJ set up for work Stu so once it was up and running i just had to have a little test of the gear! Hardly an earth shattering mix but definitely given me the taste for more....
