Do you really believe that? I think its amazing that anyone can make a full time living out of making dance music.

thinking is an understatement, I know full well. Think about it, some bignames take up to 500 and more to do a 1 hour set (many do 2 or 3 sets in 1 night every fri/sat), they can also charge up to 500 to remix/do a track for someone, then theres track sales and doing big albums like clxh. Easily the bignames would be taking 2000+ a month from music.

I wouldnt say its amazing as such, more big players playing them all. The big commercial labels have lots of cash, they see the hardcore scene as profit, they get the bignames to do tracks for them where they profit from and give some of it to the bignames.

Yea I agree about styles though, he isnt as bad as the rest

Yes, Sparkz in this case is actually right, I believe Joey Riot is about 950 to book per hour set, I think Re-Con and Styles are a bit more expensive than that per hour. This was sometime last year I heard these figures so they may have changed. Plus they get money from other stuff too...if you're lucky enough you do get a definitely liveable wage, but it's not mansion and rockstar cocaine habits money like some like to make out. I'm not putting an opinion on the table there, like whether or not I feel that's too much or not enough, but just saying basically.

I agree this has got a bit off-topic. Every thread seems to be degenerating into moaning about the scene and I've done enough of that now.

Equally though Wilky, calling out a hardcore MC isn't really fit to be on the "Hardcore discussion" board, you could do general discussion for that or just keep it on twitter/facebook.

Agreed. This scene has barely enough capital to support anyone other than the top tier DJ's.

Nevertheless when Sy & Unknown live off their music, it makes you wonder why they have to spend time and use Nexus presets all the time now. Lazy.

Really? Really? Who cares if you're using a preset? You don't have to completely engineer your own samples and synths to make a good song. I like Sy & Unknowns tracks, whether or not they use presets. The sound is good, so it doesn't matter.

It also seems a bit immature TBH.
"Hey look, this big fat meanie said hes going to hunt me down. Let me post it on a completely biased site so they can all agree with me and reinforce my self-worth!"

I think both sides are a bit immature, judging by some of the posts in this thread I wouldn't say we're biased though. Wilky has gotten into enough shit for us to just roll our eyes when it happens again and maybe get a laugh out of it. I won't tolerate threats though, doesn't matter who they come from, I don't discriminate or favour people when there's talk of hunting people down and beating them up or whatever - that shit isn't right.

In this case though, it looks like Wilky is ready for whatever comes his way so whatever lol might as well let them fight it out.

Let me correct myself. They dont use Nexus presets... They use Nexus SAMPLES. Samples that cant be edited apart from the envelope. Thats lazy. Using other peoples sounds. Creating your own unique sound is the ticket. Using a Sylenth preset and editing that is still more creative and productive...

I see your Case, Why say your Retiring than year after Come back!

Livelee & Vibes are both in so much Demand its unreal. People want the Vibes & Livelee show, so if you was in the same position would you not do the same??

I agree with the * I'l hunt you down business* Very unprofessional !!

I would be surprised if I got cussed over a set he's at... shouting down the Mic at how racist I am lol

I don't care how cheap he is - for someone to be retiring every year for the last 10 + years is a real pisstake of the scene... no wonder hes gotta to be cheap...

The retiring part yep I agree totally. I mean for someone like vibes and livelee (or anyone similar). People who have been supported them through the helter skelter/dreamscape years would make the extra effort and get the cash together to go and see them 1 final time so its a bit lame if more people make the effort only to find out they are playing again a few months later.

It will come to the point though when hes really retiring, gets booked for a final gig and people wont believe it so wont go

I kind of hope they do. I just dont want them to leave. However, I dont think they'll leak it. If they come back, IF IF IF, it'll probably be in a very limited capacity.
