I actually agree with you DJ Tripnosis. I just came totally clean a couple months ago, and it's been a struggle. But I went to my first rave last week, and it was probably even more of a blast off of the ex than it was on it. It was crazy, and I didn't need anything to try and make it better. Over on the west coast of the US though, nobody plays much happy hardcore at raves, just DnB, and Hardcore, and since it is always raining and stuff, raves are in warehouses. Never been to something on a field. :(

strychnine, yes i take ur point, i didnt really think of it that way  but what i was referring to was that u most certainly wont wear ur sunday best to a rave, unlike clubs where there are sum really strict dress codes (ie: shirt must have a collar, no steel capped shoes, etc).
...

Uhhhhhh... no? Like nearly 50% of the entire population of happycore dj's in the US are in Cali from what I've seen. Where do you live?

i normally walk out of a club looking about as good as when i walked in - hell, with the sexy 5-o'clock shadow, squinty eyes and casually-messed hair, some would say i look even better

Security are total ****s whereever you go. They're just as bad at the local cheesy clubs as at the sanc. They just don't search everyone so you dont notice it as much!
And Birkenhead are a minority, in most normal clubs most people are like that :(

true..
i just think ravers tend to have a really bad view on normal clubs. as long as you avoid the really cheesy smart dressed ones there not as bad as everyone makes out. generally i find the people well friendly.. everyones (nearly) as cained as they are at a rave!

ppl at clubs in my area seem 2 think they r at raves or at try and act like that ne way :s I personally find that really annoying because they r "raving" to chart music and I don't c how that works!!! and u can guarantee at least 1 fight during the night and somebody is guaranteed to get something stolen from them. (Thats what its like in my town anyway our nightclubs are crappy) But saying that I suppose it depends on where you live. I hate the clubs in my area and the ppl who go there but no offence 2 anyone else its probly just coz of my experiences that my thoughts rn't gr8.

i just cant turn my bk on raves they really r just 2 good 2 miss.... i would like to know y the old bill have such a hard time with them if ur in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere whos gonna complain about the noise??? ay? ay?

Clubs r better in sum ways cos after a rave wen uve bin dancin nonstop 4 who knows how many hrs i look like a rite minger!lol
n i c more of my m8s wen i go out clubbin cos they aint really in2 the whole raving thing
n there aint usually many ppl outa their heads at clubs unless theyve drunk 2 much, but apart from that raves r waaay better just the whole feeling of them, cos every1(well most ppl) r there 4 the music instead of at clubs where u go just 2 drink n stuff n rnt bothered wat kinda music or wat dj
and the main plus about a rave 4 me is the no dress code...yay saved from wearin heels all nite! blokes r so lucky dnt hav 2 put up with that in clubs, but i cudnt go raving if i cudnt wear my trainers or i think my feet wud fall off!
